Brand new, never been seen before day

It is a brand new day today.  Sunday, let's start a great week together.  So far overcast and 59 degrees, here in norther MN.  Dennis is away and work and this lil mouse will play.  What can I do today.  Not much of anything around the house with the 10# lifting limit.  Guess that leaves just being good to myself.  Sipping on those shakes, shaking my butt on short walks and resting.

Took some Tylenol for little aches and pain.  I am not sure I will ever get used to the awful taste of crushed meds.  Not sure which one of mine tastes so bad, something in the concoction tastes horrible.  Tried masking it with other flavors, found that lemonade flavored crystal light intensifies the bad taste, shakes do tend to cover it the best so far.

I may be up and at em for the moment, but I feel a nap attack sneaking up and will go with the flow.  Later all, Have a GREAT one.  Hugs, Kathy

Morning Nissa,

Gotta look at the bright side of things, just my nature.  Speaking of bright side of things, the sun is out, going to go get some vitamin D.

You are a smart lady Kathy. If we all learn to face each new day like the title of this post, we'd probably all find much more joy, purpose and experiences in our lives.

I was never required to crush my meds either, just cut them in halves too. But I have to admit, I always wondered about the absoption I was getting. But my labs on my thyroid and everything stayed good. soooo... Also I took them with warm liquids when possible, to aid in a faster breakdown of them.

My computer has had a mind of its own lately as I was typing away the font suddenly switched to italic. Every time I switched it back, it changed itsself back. Think I am going to have to start considering a new computer. toooo many weird things like this going on with it. Too much I cannot afford to loose on it.

EVERYONE have a wonderful day!

I am going to ask about breaking them only.  Something tastes really baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad in my concoction.  I am sucking on my cinnamon calcium citrate now, enjoying a change of taste.  Not quite as strong as big red gum.

Hope your computer does not fail you, I would miss hearing from you.

I learned years ago, when I was going through DBT training that I an the only one who can control how I am thinking, and to start the day on a good note is the best way.  If I start out grabby and cross, I will meet crabby and cross people.  If I start out happy and upbeat, the day will be better, kind of like smiling at others, it is contagious.

Hugs, Kathy

Kathy!  I don't know what DBT training is - but I agree with the sentiment.  I try to be positive and that seems to help with everything.
You do sound great, considering how close you are to the surgery.  It give me hope that I will do well, too!  Take care today - and every day - of my friend YOU!

Thanks Mary, Welcome to bariatric buddies.  Today in head over heels better than yesterday.  I just went out and bought chewable children's tylenol, had to look to find something not bubble gum lfavored.

I will try hard to take care of me.
