"Officially" back to work!

Well, I teach and I was transfered from 1st grade to 5th grade. (Happy about this!) This meant moving all of my teaching junk down the hallway. Moving all of my stuff sure made me nervous; I mean it takes A LOT to get a classroom warm, comfy, and ready for kids! I couldn't believe that I would be ready, but with some help from friends and a lot of work it looks good. Not yet ready, but good! Oh well, only one more day. Just two and a half weeks ago I was under the knife! wow! I may get tired more easily, but I am so excited about living healthier.

No scale, since my brother's family moved into their new house... but hopefully all this movement is paying off!

How about ya'll? How was going back to work?

Congrats on getting the classroom ready.  So soon after surgery.  Even without a scale, bet the clothes are looser.  Take care of yourself and get your fluids in as you go back to the classroom.  Hugs, Kathy

OMG, yes. Not falling of loose, but it is definetly noticeable. My face looks 17 again, I lost the double plus chin and I can now fit in an XL down from 2X. Pants are loose, but have an extra few inches in them and they are getting longer! I am so happy.

You are so close. I am excited for you! I know you ill keep us informed once you are up and moving! Best of luck!

Congrats Tania on your loss of the double plus chin and the baggy clothes! You take it easy on yourself, you are still pretty early post-op and you don't want to "pop" anything! Soon, you  will witness a collar bone emerging! That is exciting too! I still look at mine and marvel that it was always there..lol.
I hope you have a great school year! And like Kathy said, make sure you keep your water handy and sip sip sip every chance you get!

I didn't go back to work after mine, officially, as I was at home caring for my injured husband. It was tough at times, but luckily by the time I had my surgery he had a year to begin to adapt to his blindness, and he was able to walk again by then.  I had to run him to lots of appointments, cook for him, get his meds, and help with lots of stuff, but he was great. He asked for as little as possible, and tried to do as much as he could for himself, although that resulted in some pretty interesting messes for me to clean up.

Great job on your progress and please take it easy on yourself at work.
Hugs!

My youngest kids are in 1st and 5th grade this year. It's nice to hear that you are feeling great?  I'm of course still waiting for approval but even if I do get approved I just can't seem to get my A1c level below 8 which I need before I can have surgery. I hope you have a great school year and good luck with getting healthy. Hopefully I'll be on that road pretty soon.  Definitely, keep in touch.
