My last day in this body as is
Tuesday, I am up and at em. This is my last day of pre-op shakes. The agenda today includes brushing 2 frizzy dogs (they smell oh so good after having baths), walking the same dogs, a couple loads of laundry, packing my underwear and chapstick for the hospital, and a workout at the gym later to get good and tired. Hibiclens showers tonight and in the morning. Waiting for call from surgery scheduling to tell me what time to arrive for surgery tomorrow.
This is the last day with this body that allows me to eat more than I need. Tomorrow is my lap RNY and the start of becoming the best me I can be. I have been walking and working out at the gym in preparation for tomorrow. Managed to loose 40 pounds between the 6 month and the liquid diet. Still have 140 pounds to go. My knees are looking forward to carrying less of me from place to place. So far I have managed to cut my insulin use from 80 units twice a day to 14 units twice a day. Time will tell if I can get off the insulin entirely.
Today is going to be a chocolate shake day to satisfy my chocolate need. 4 more till surgery. got the the place where I can count them on one hand. Can't believe I haven't had and chocolate (candy), caffeine or pop in over a month. Craving plain water or crystal light lately. They satisfy the thirst.
Enough yakking, time to start doing. Hope everyone has a fantastic day today. I plan to. Sunny and beautiful out there. Perfect for outdoor activities. I will check back later to see what great things everyone else is doing today. Hugs, Kathy

HI Kathy
I am so proud of you for all you have done so far .. losing the 40 before the operation and especially getting thru the liquid diet. That is my biggest worry that I will not get thru the liquid diet part. I know i will because I know if i have the surgery it will be much easier for all of us that need it. Its wonder ful that you have been able to cut down your insulin usage ... absolutely wonderful
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow .. I know God will Bless you with a smooth and uneventful surgery .
You know that all our thoughts and prayers will be with you,
Jenn

Thank you Jenn,
I am a little surprised myself, the weight loss seemed at a standstill most of the time. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I will keep you in mine as well.

Oh yeah! You are right there on the brink! Tomorrow you will oficially be sitting next to us on the losers bench! Congratulations! I remember when you first joined our group and didn't even have a date. It seemed like it would be forever huh? Now, here you are! You are doing an awesome job of sticking to the liquid diet and getting in all the exercise! You are a shining example to others.
I look forward to traveling along side of you in your upcoming wls journey! You are going to do awesome! I am so proud of you and happy for you!
Enjoy your puppies today, I know you will miss them while you are away.
The tremendous reduction in insulin need is very encouraging as well! Lets hope you will get to a point where you can bid it farewell altogether!

Good evening,
I will be praying for you tomorrow! Look forward to seeing your return with all the exciting news of your surgery. Tomorrow I am eight weeks post-op & it's my 21 st wedding anniversary. Be at peace tomorrow, you'll be in good hands. I have to say the only part I didn't like was the nausea feeling as I work up but they gave me medicine for that : ) When you are in the recovery area, the staff is so wonderful. I had my husband bring a thank you card : )
Hugs,
Nissa
