Good morning and welcome to Thursday !

Everybody up at at 'em this morning?

Had a rough morning with my kids.  16 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter would not get outta bed.  The first week of school and having to get up early has proven quiet difficult for those two ... and very frustrating for mom!  But now I'm at work and I'm actually enjoying the quiet.

I'm looking forward to the weekend.  My aunt and uncle are in from AZ until Tuesday and Saturday night my mom is throwing a big party for my step-dad's 60th birthday!  Gonna be loads of fun!

I hope you are all having a good morning and have an even better day!

Top of the day to you Kim and everyone else as they rise ans shine.  Getting the kids up will be easier as the weeks of school progress, at least it was for us, back in the dark ages when I was going to school.

I am getting set to go out with the critters.  I let them play is a puddle that was a little iffy looking yesterday, they were both trying to throw up as a point last night.  The yorkie Gretta, was trying to puke by my pillow, till I set her back on the floor.  Ughhhh, not sleeping with dog puke.  She was back a few minutes later, just a passing phase.  She gets just like velcro when either she or I are not feeling well.  Velcro she was, all night, felt the small ball of fur heating pad every time I shifted in bed. No evidence of them being sick later during the night.  We are staying away from the puddles today, they can play at the edge of the lake if they want.  They don't know it yet, they are getting baths sometime before my surgery.

Have a great party, looking forward to hearing bout it next week.  Keeping Charlotte and Vick in my thoughts today as they recover from their surgeries.

  Hugs everybody, Kathy

Hey ladies! Good afternoon! Better late than never huh? I hope you all had a wonderful morning and are having a great day!

I remember those early back to school days. I got to the point where I'd start making them hit the bed earlier and get them up early starting a week before school did. They didn't enjoy that at all. Once they were older, 15, 16 etc, I let them pretty much go to bed when they wanted to with the understanding that they had better get up for school, make it to school, and keep the grades up, or it was back to a set bedtime. They did it.

Yeah..definately a bath for the doggies, and have hubby put nice clean sheets on your bed before you get in it after surgery. thats what we did too. I wanted to minimize risk of post-op infection the best I could. I never did get an infection, so for that I am thrilled!

My day is coming along so-so. I had to take a nap, as I was up until after 3 am with the scoots. Don't know what was up with that! Belly still tender today. So, today, I am just going to take it fairly easy, and try to recouporate.
Hugs!

Up wayyyy too early this morning.  Had to be at Methodist Hospital at 5:00 A.M.  My EGD was at 7 AM.  It went well.  My hiatal hernia is quite large.  Oh, I miss my kids being grown up and gone, but I don't miss those morning battles.

Have a terrific weekend everyone!

Some people might not support my WLS decision.
Those people remind me of slinkys. Not good for much but it would would bring a smile to my face if someone pushed them down the stairs.
