I really want to go back to boxing (that is how I lost my 10% for  surgery), but still waiting for my doctor to give the ok. Boxing helped me get over some of my issues, and I burned major calories. I walk to my neighborhood park (1/2 mile), but walking can only do so much. I also invested in a 5lb weight to help tone my flabby arms. It's funny because you think a 5lb weight would be easy to lift, but when you do 10 reps at a time, a 5lb weight starts to feel like 10lbs.

Hope he's proud of me"

I like the boxing and punching bags on the wii fit. Its amazing how sore you can get swinging in mid air! I bet I look like a lunatic to neighbors who happen to glance in when I'm doing it tho..lol

Hello..

Hello..

I would love to chat to keep myself accountable.

I am now three weeks out and I am happy to be moving.

Early on I was SO TIRED. I feel much better now but sitll tired sometimes.

I got on the treadmill for awhile today. I was so excited. It took more than 20 minutes for me to even sweat.

At three weeks or so post op, how much were you working out?

Have a great day all and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!

Hey there! Welcome! I don't think too many members will see your post here, people just don't seem to notice the area at the top of the forum...

At 3 weeks out, I took several small walks daily. I listened to my body and quit when it was time, before my body was screaming at me, just when it started telling me enough was enough. It can be very different for everyone at this point. Just listen to what your body says, and don't overdo it.

Welcome to our group, and congrats on your WLS! (Whats is your first name if you don't mind that I ask?)

Ok ~ I was browsing this post and I decided that I would list my exercise for today ( and try to keep up with it every day ) lol I am horrible at keeping track of things, something I MUST work on :)

Today I walked 2x up my driveway and back and I also did 10 reps ( I guess you would call it) with each arm using resistance bands.

I will do the arm exercises again tonight before I go to bed.
