Good Morning All!
Good Morning,
Just getting home from working half a shift last night. Census was low, I was 'on call' till 3:30 am. Feeling ready to face the day at this time. I slept well before work and during my call hours.
Today I am calling the clinic this am to track down my FMLA forms. I am supposed to have them turned in tomorrow.
Just mixed up my pitcher of 5 shakes for today. Including today, 9 days of shakes before surgery on the second.
Looks like a good day for outdoor activities. Dog walk it is.
Have a great day everyone. Hugs, Kathy

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Good morning buddies!
I have a strong dislike for Mondays. I always have a terrible time getting out of bed and then getting myself revved up for another week of work. Ugh!
BUT today is MAGICAL - MY KIDS WENT BACK TO SCHOOL!
I am lucky in that I didn't have to pay for child care over the summer as my husband only worked Tuesday - Thursday and then my 16 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter kep****ch over my 11 yr old son and 9 yr old daughter when my husband did work. BUT, I will save money as the $50 average per week that I will pay for their lunches at school will be much cheaper than the amount of food they and their gazillion friends went through each week over the summer.
I am now 3 weeks away from my surgery. I am getting more and more nervous about it. I'm not overly concerned about the anesthetic or the surgery itself, but I am worried about the pain and recovery after. I think I have a pretty high pain tolerance and I normally avoid taking medication that might make me feel out of it or that I'm not in control of myself. I'm not going to allow my fear take over! I am going through with it and I know I am going to be successful in the long run - but, as it gets closer, the reality is settling in and it's a bit scary!
I begin a 1200 calorie diet next Monday (8/31) and then I'll be on a liquid diet beginning the Saturday before my surgery (9/12). It seems odd to me that there is so much variance in the diet restrictions prior to WLS. I have chatted with many people that were on a liquid diet for a month or two weeks before surgery. Things that make me go "Hmm..?" LOL
I guess I've jabbered enough for this morning. Back to work! I hope that you all have a glorious day and I hope to chat with you this evening!
Take care!

Hi Kim,
I guess the big thing I worry about with this whole thing is the liquid diet before the surgery. I pray I can get thru it without cheating. The pain doesn't worry me too much. Are they doing the surgery laproscopically ? If they are it shouldn't be too bad. I had an emergency c-section for the birth of my son and they give you plenty of pain meds with that.
Good luck and Gods Blessing to you,
Jenn
