Back from the shore..

Hey everyone  I just got back from the shore today and let me tell you the weather was wicked hot! above 90 every day with humidity that was killer.  (that's me catching fire from the heat!)  Just standing outside made you sweat..ick.  But I did get to visit some family and even had dinner at my favorite restuarant, The Lobster House. I had broiled flounder with mushrooms and it was super good

My weight hasn't gone down any, but it's sort of holding still. I guess that's to be expected since the swelling around my tummy has gone down and I still haven't had my first fill yet. I'm hungry A LOT! But I'm trying to practice portion control and eating very slowly..savoring every bite. I didn't get my walks in when I was down the shore b/c of the  heat but now that  I'm home I have to get my but moving again.

Any advice for someone post op but before their first fill?

And what's everyone else been up to??? I wanna hear it...I missed you guys!

Welcome back Sukie.  Sorry bout the heat, I lost my control on mother nature eons ago heeee, heeeee, heee :)

There are some more new members here.  I am looking forward to hearing what they, and you have to share.  My hubby made scrambled eggs for himself for supper, smeels so goooood.  I am having my shake and some chicken broth.  Even the broth tastes good.  I am counting down the days till surgery, 12 left.  Only 55 more shakes till I am postop.

Get yourself unpacked and get out there for a walk.  Chat later on.  Nap before work is next on my agenda.

Hugs, Kathy

Hey Sukie! Nice to have you back! Thinks are kind of quiet around here today.
So glad to hear you had a good time. Yep that heat will get ya. make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids always, but especially when you are really hot.
I think the best advice i can give you is to talk to your nutritionist that your Surgeon has you working with. She should know how to guide you in getting through this time, better than anyone.
Maybe You should eat smaller meals, but more often, until you get your fill. But your best bet is to talk to the Nut. and if you don't have access to that, then call your surgeons office, and the nurse should be able to advise you as well. I am sure they deal with this situation alot, and since i am not a lap band patient, I have no personal experience.

I missed having you around too! Will be great to have you posting and interacting with us again! We have some new members that are posting, be sure to say hi to them!
Big Hugs! Welcome Back!
