my brain is AWOL

Been quite a day, started out thinking today was Tuesday.  Nope, not Tuesday.  For something different to 'eat' on this liquid diet I thought to make a box of sf jello.  I added some unflavored unjury to see what it tastes like in jello.  Just looked in the fridge and realized that my brain was absent without leave.  I used 2 cups of boiling water and 2 cups of cold water for 1 small box
of jello.  There is this bowl of semi thick red liquid sitting in the fridge.  I stirred the bowl, ended up the consistency of pancake syrup.  Tasted great, jello through a straw.  Maybe tomorrow I will use the right amounts of water.  ;)

Rainy day, but I can't sleep, this is my perfect sleep weather.  Decided to go to the gym to burn off some steam. I was on the tread climber 30 minutes, 500 calories and climbed 880 feet.  I would never be able to climb that much of a hill in 30 minutes outdoors, maybe after I loose more weight.  No dog walk today, offered to let Gretta out, she refused to cross the threshold.  My little miss prissy does not like to get rained on.  They will have to race around the couch for their exercise.

Toodles til later.   Hugs, Kathy

Well, at least it was still tasty, even if you had to drink it through a straw! How was it with the protein added in to it?

You did great at the gym! You are putting me to shame lady! I have to get more exercise in. I get it in about 4 days a week, but I need to clear time to do more. When Paul starts his classes next Monday, I will be at the YMCA, while he is in his classes. That'll give me an hour and 45 minutes. Not sure what I'll do with the last 45 minutes, but the 2 days he has classes, they offer a 60 minute water aerobic class for the first hour he'll be at school, so that's definately on my list for Mon and Wed AM. That will help me get in more exercise for sure!

Hope you got some decent sleep.
Hugs!

The class is called JAWS. It is a computer program that allows the blind to use a computer and many of the programs on computers, and some minimal web surfing, email, etc.
Think it will be very good for him to have something to focus on other than his vision loss.

When my eyelids started to droop this afternoon, I practically raced to my pillow, put on the cpap and threw a quilt ove my head to block out any light.  Got a good 6 hour nap.  Loads better right now.  Have fun with the water aerobics.  I can tell my knees are less painful with the muscles getting stronger.

The unset jello was good.  I used to suggest warm jello water for kids who had sore throats and didn't want to drink when I was working in ER.  Got good results.  Off to cuddle some babies at work tonight.

I didn't even think about SF jello with protein powder mixed in - FANTASTIC IDEA!  I'm definitely gonna give that a whirl when I begin my pre-surgery diet (Aug 31st).

Way to go on the exercising, Kathy!  There is no way I could do that right now.  My knees are in constant pain.  I'm hoping that they will repair themselves as I lose weight and begin a regular exercise regime.

My dog, Maya, is like Greta.  She'll go out - if someone goes with her and hold up an umbrella!  LOL!

Have a great night!

Good luck with the knees.  Mine were horrible sore a few months ago, even used a can for a while when they felt like they were going to buckle.  Physical therapy helped.  Maya and Gretta are both Prissy girls.  Chat more tomorrow.

There are other recipes available at the unjury site as well.  Just starting to try some, as they fit into the pre-op diet.  I will get to the others later on the loosing side.  Hugs, Kathy
