Did not sleep well all night. Not sure what is going on there. I have my 2 grandkids all day tomorrow to babysit, so thier Mommy and daddy can go out to celebrate Mommy's birthday. They are busy little beavers! Wish I had slept better! The good news is my daughter is coming out to spend the day and help me keep up with the tikes! Its been a while since my daughter and I have been able to visit, so I am looking forward to seeing her.

So..I have been wearing a very loose size 16 and it was time to get some pants that fit, I mean, I could literally pull the 16 jeans down without unbuttoning and unzipping. So I was fairly certain the 14's were gonna work well for me. But to my suprise and delight, I skipped right over the 14's and am now in a size 12! YEEEE HAAWWWW! Needless to say this absolutely tickled me pink! I bought only one pair of jeans, as most of what they offered had that look to them, that someone wore em for a year, then they were put out on the shelf. I just don't go for that already worn out look. I like new jeans to look like new jeans. But I was A-OK with just finding the one pair I liked. Just knowing I jumped down 2 sizes thrilled me to death! Very motivating! I was almost as excited as when I discovered I could no longer shop the plus size department! These occurances my friends are known as the NSV's of WLS! (Non scale victories of weight loss surgery).Much like that first time I could bend over and tie my shoes, without grunting and turning purple in the face.

Where ever you are in your journey, always take a moment to recognize your accomplishments, be it pre-op or post op. These accomplishments and victories are key components to keeping us motivated and on track!

Have a great day all!

Thanks Vick... I don't think I have to worry too much about all that kind of attention. lol But it would be flattering...I think....
I have a friend who's husband told my husband a couple of weeks ago "your wife is getting damn sexy...better keep ahold of her".  But I think that was just his way of humoring my hubby.
Funny, when I look at myself in the mirror, I don't think I look like a size 12...lol. I held up those jeans when I got home with em, I was preparing to hang them up, and I looked at them, from the back and thought, WOW... my butt fits in these???!!!??? hehehe

Congrats on skipping a size.  I was awake at 5 am too.  Kind of feels like we are on similar schedules.  Keep it up sis.  I didn't plan to stay up, but I did.  Started a load of laundry and considered which project in the basement to work on.  Turned on the TV for company and started watching Mr. Holland's Opus.  After my dad woke, played skipo, his favorite game, at the time until time to leave for church.

The rain broke loose as I was getting home.  Felt like a good afternoon for a nap.  I feel refreshed after napping.
