My name is Michelle,  I really don't mind the shakes, their expensive but taste ok. I drink Imetabolic from the bariatric store at Western Bariatric Institute in reno nv.  This is a 3 step program, Step 1: Shakes for breakfast then 300 cal, lunches and dinners plus 3snacks. Step 2: shakes for breakfast & lunch then a 300 cal dinner plus 2 snacks and the last snack 1/2 shake. Then it depends on the person  and Dr. Step 3 is between 2-4 wks. Step 3: full shakes breakfast, unch, dinner and last snack, plus 1/2 shakes for 2 snacks.  I hae them about every 2 hours and I am not really hungry, I do chew alot of gum for the chewing factor.lol

4 weeks is a long time. Do you get to eat a small high protein low fat low carb meal in the evening?
I had a 10 day "liquid" diet, but each evening could have the small meal as described above, until the last 3 days, then it was strictly liquids.
My daughter had only a 3 day Clear liquid diet.
I hope someday they come up with an across the board pre-op standard. Would make it much easier to know how to best help people when they have questions.
Hang in there Gals! You are soooo close!!!!
Hugs!

Nope, tried to drink coffee years ago, not worth the gut rot feeling.  Love the smell of coffee, just walk down that isle to "smell the coffee".    Right now, craving water or ctystal light.  I do notice that I get tired with the reduced calories.

Well Michelle, that sounds like a pretty reasonable process.  Where are you at in it? (What phase?)
