Vickie you are a crack up. I thought I was only one who used middle finger for communications. Any way hope yah get better soon,
And I know what you mean about chronic fatigue syndrome, I am sure I have it too. I have to make myself do little projects all thru the day. Gotta motivate my body to do what my head wants to do.   Have a wonderful day!

LOL Vick, you are a HOOT! My hubby said to tell you, your other hand has you covered on the communication necessities. lol.

BUT you still did not share HOW you got this fracture? Who'd ya beat up? or did someone try to intentionally disable or communication center? LOL

I love these fun and uplifting posts we get around here sometimes.. I got a good chuckle out of it!

Hugs to both of ya!

I too have chronic fatigue. I have to fight it all the time. Thats part of why I have that saying in my signature "Just do the next right thing" . Many times to focus farther out than just what's next can make me want to just jump in bed for a nap!...lol  But seriously even on our wls journey, there will be some days that are harder than others, rather than overwhelm, just focusing on the next RIGHT thing can save the day and your stress levels!

i was helping to get some stuff out of my parents rv.  thier bed tilts up so u can store stuff under there. well, you guessed it, it slammed down on my hand and fingers. do u think this fracture will change them doing my surgery?  i wished it was a more glorious story. like the time i got into a bar fight with a guy (he wa****ting on his girlfriend).,  i pulled his hair trying to get him off of her and he turned around and slugged me in the face. i slid down to the sloor on top of my ankle and broke it. true story, and i could tell you many more about my drinking days.  vick

Hi everyone,

Been a day today.  The food thing is easy.  had my pre-op dietician visit today, she explained the meal plan to get me thru till surgery.

Breakfast - 8 oz. milk with 1 packet of sugarfree carnation instant breakfast,
Snack - 8 oz. milk with 1 packet of sugarfree carnation instant breakfast,
Lunch - 8 oz. milk with 1 packet of sugarfree carnation instant breakfast,
Snack - 8 oz. milk with 1 packet of sugarfree carnation instant breakfast,
Supper - 8 oz. milk with 1 packet of sugarfree carnation instant breakfast

add extra 20 gms of whey protein using powder. spread between the 5 'meals'.  plus all the sugar free jello, sugar free popcicles, broth, V8 or tomato juice and water I like.

My funny bone wants to trade breakfast for supper and snack for lunch. ;)

Fun today included sitting beside Lake Superior, letting the breeze blow throught my hair as we watched someone fly his kite, another person practice takeoff and landings with a sea plane and checked out the birds that twittered in the trees.  Nice mini vacation before going to pre-op appointments.  Dennis was able to accompany me, info overload for him.

I'm off in search of one of my instant meals.  Have a great evening.

Vick, OUCHIE! I'm sure that smarted pretty bad! I doubt it will affect your surgery. No reason it should that I can think of. Take good care of that hand!

Kathy... I dunno if I could keep track of that diet or not...sounds pretty complicated! LOL. Ahhh the sitting by the lake sounds awesome!

I was just looking into renting a cabin in the mountains for a 2 day / 2 night  get away, but then my husband announced he would like to go too... and bring the dogs. defeats the whole purpose of getting away, if his sadness and depression and such just goes with me, as that is what I was trying to get some R & R from. Some ME time with no negative emotions to deal with. No one to take care of but me. Some soul searching and personal healing. Just don't feel it would be fair to tell him he cannot go. So, I guess I'll just pass on it and take a day to myself somehow, another time.

sorry your plans fell through.  wish there was something i could do.  i wish your  husband would get some therapy, for his sake.  i know what true depression is like and it takes a lot of work to grt out of. he has to be willing to do it. you  are caught in the middle of all this.  so sorry. vick
