Got my date

Hi everyone, today's exciting news is a date scheduled for my surgery.  Sept. 2, 2009, yes 3 weeks from tomorrow.  I am feeling an odd sense of calm right now.  Letting the news really sink in.  Is it real, yes indeed.  The anticipation is winding down, the rest of my life is about to start.  I am excited, just not bouncing off the walls excited as I was a few days ago when I heard that insuraance had approved my lap rny.  More of a warm glow surrounding me excited.  I can sense all my new OH friends present.  What a great group of people.  I am sure I will come up with questions, concerns and the what over the next weeks and months.  I know where to go for answers, first MD office, second here at OH. 

All my appointments are scheduled for pre-op teaching, nutritionist, MD.  Labs ordered and done, other tests complete.  Peace and waiting while I partake of my liquid diet.  Off to make some jello for later on.  Toodles till later.  Thanks in advance for all the support.

CONGRATULATIONS!  The wait is over.  Now the liquid diet will start soon and the wait for surgery.  The time will fly by. Best of luck !  Robin

Liquid diet here I come, I did have a last pizza meal tonight.  Liquids from now till surgery.  Pizza wasn't what I expected anyway, I think my body is already starting its rethinking. 

Great news about your date!! You'll be two weeks ahead of me and can tell me everything!!

Awsome. I know how you feel when I got the call today I was bouncing off all the walls. Now my mind is in overload, trying to get my house i order, kids ready for school, and my bills done so I dont have to worry about it later.  The liquid diet isn't to bad i've been o it fully for a week so I know 3 more won't be bad. All i  have left to do is my last pre-op class and 1 more consult with my surgeon the day before surgery. So good luck and I am here every step of the way literally. LOL
