if i can get the documentation that i need from my primary and email a picture of my last rash then maybe medicare will pay for the surgery portion that covers tummy tuck, i know they will pay for the hernia part. with my secondary insurance all will be paid for. i should know by next week. i don't know if i might have to put it off because of my parents. they are both in ill health and my dad might have to go back into the hospital.  once i have the surgery, i won't be much good to them.  that is really something to think about. maybe i should just put it off all together until things stabilize with my parents.  what do u think?  vick

Vick, I would take into consideration how much trouble your hernia is giving you, before you decide to put it off. If it worsens and becomes too painful, you may not be able to help them anyhow.  So I would go by how you are feeling and how limited you may be due to the hernia.

Another idea. Is there other siblings who can help you with helping them? Also, some insurances will cover some in home care. Check with the insurance company they have and see if this is posible. This may allow you to feel comfortable that they are cared for, yet allow you to care for yourself as well.

Keep in mind even if the insurance will cover some in home care, it will usually require a doctors order for insurance to pay, but that should be easy to get!
Hugs to you! You are a good daughter!

Wow that's a hard decision. I can't tell you what you should do, but if it's giving you that many problems it might be a good idea to get it taken care of so you can start to heal and heal better. I did some  home health care for my father like Patrece said and it was really a Godsend.

Hugs!
