Dreamt about food?  I am so hungry that when I took a nap this afternoon I actually dreamt I  had chicken tacos with tons of guacamole.  I woke up hungrier than than before.  I know this presurgery diet is necessary and for the best, but darnit I'm HUNGRY! lol. I've been trying to print out some easy recipes for when I can do smooshy foods like refried beans and cottage cheese and stuff...maybe I should wait...it's making me drool!  I NEVER thought I'd be drooling over refried beans lol.

Day two almost done...two more to go!
PS Thanks for letting me share and ramble!

The liquid diet part is tough for sure! BUT it is soooo worth it.  There will be lots of other changes to your lifestyle after surgery as well. Its not all fun, but man let me tell you...the results are so wonderful! So hong in there! You can do this!!!!! Be sure to eat jello, and sugar free popsicles too, that will help get you through. And of course a protein drink if you are allowed to have those.
Hang tough you are soooooo close!!!!!!! YEAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
Thanks for sharing! Thats what this group is all about!
P.S. Refried beans are actually pretty good! After my surgery when I could have that texture, I mixed a tsp of salsa into refried beans, topped it with shredded cheddar and heated it... it was nummy! VERY good protein content too!

Today is a new day and I am determined that today will be better than yesterday! One protein shake down, two to go. Plus I am already down 9 pounds since the date I joined here, so that is motivating!  I'm off to buy some yogurt for a change of pace!

Thanks for all the support!

SUKIE!!!!!!! How awesome is that! Down 9 lbs! I am so happy for you! You must feel so proud! You sure should! You are doing wonderful! Sounds like you are off to a great start for the day! Protein AND a wonderful and positive attitude to go along with a plan for the day!
Keep up the good work! You will be so thankful you did! Keep checking in and posting your progress!

Do you have all of your vitamins and supplements bought so you won't have to worry about getting them on your way home from the hospital? It is very wise to get them ahead of time, cuz chances are you will not feel up to doing so after. Also, bring some chapstick, as your lips will likely get dry!
Hugs!
