Thank you for the Welcome.  I start today with sleeping in.  Still in my pj's.  Drinking my water and planning the day.  Dog walk is out for the moment - raining.  Drive to the gym out - flat tire.  Guess I will walk up the stairs - heh that is exercise and think about cleaning the spare bedroom.  I will try to deal with the flat tire when the sky clears.

I have been to 5 of my 6 monthly nutrition visits.  Last one is in August.  I will have a different surgeon that I planned on.  My surgeon is moving out of MN in Aug.  Haven't met the new MD yet.  There are 2 more surgeons left in the group, same clinic.  Good reviews from people at local wls support group for the other MD's  Done with psych eval, sleep study, stress test,  getting closer all the time.

Well the sleeping in part sounds great! I did that too! The flat tire and the rain...well that doesn't sound so great. I hope you can manage getting the tire taken care of ok.

A few trips up and down those stairs will give ya a good workout! Heck.. you could even turn on some music and dance dance dance.

Sounds like you are almost there with having your surgery. You must be getting a little excited at this point huh? I think I didn't get tooo excited yntil I had my surgery date set. I had 3 weeks between the time it was scheduled and done. Let me tell ya the time just flewwwwwww by. I thought it would be the longest 3 weeks of my life, but it really went quick.

Still didn't make it up the stairs, the sky cleared for a few minutes.  Tire now fixed.  Picked up a screw.  Now I have freedom, feels a little like jail when the wheels don't work.

The only problem with the stairs is a sore knee when I do too many.  WLS should help fix that too.  I feel like the process is going so slow.  I know I will get a lot more excited when I have a surgery date.  My md wants 3 weeks of liquid diet pre-op.    I want to pre-arrange my time off work, can't till I get a date.  Started trying so substitute a shake for a meal a few times a week, so far, so good.  Still need to make sure my hubby has something to eat.  He may need to prep more things for himself, depends on my willpower and temptation.

During your pre-op diet, it is no doubt going to be difficult to try to prepare meals for others, when you can't consume it. USUALLY, when you have a liquid diet that long, you are permitted one meal per day, but it is a very specific list of foods that may be consumed. This is important for shrinking your liver so the surgeon can get to all the good stuff in there. I found that during my liquid diet, I had to leave the room at times when my hubby was eating his meals. After surgery, it wasn't nearly as hard, as you don't have much of an appetite.
Glad you are back on the road again!
