Bariatric Buddy
Hi everyone..I'm new!
Hi everyone...I just joined this group today and am really looking forward to meeting some ppl and chatting...my lap band surgery is in two weeks and I'm getting really nervous! I could really use some words of wisdom !
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find if there is a set chat night or time. I'd love to participate if there is!
Thanks so much for letting me join, I hope to get to know many of you!!!
Hugs

Welcome Sukie! I'm very happy to have you here with us! Feel free to ask any questions you may have!
Congratulations on your upcoming procedure! If you go to the site lapband.com, they have many articles there that will help inform you more on everything. They are the folks that developed the lap-band. It is perfectly normal to be nervous! Almost everyone is. It is a big step you are taking in your life, but oh so positive! I am the oddball that wasn't nervous at all, once I made the decision. Before that I was. But I knew I had a most excellent surgeon, as he had saved my husbands life just a year before, and no one thought he was saveable. I also educated myself constantly between the time I started considering the surgery and when I actually had it. I still do. And the health issues I was having made it clear my quality of life would continue to deteriorate, so I KNEW I had to do it. (I had RNY)
We meet weekly for our chats. It is held on Monday evenings at 7 pm eastern time (6 central, 5 mountain, 4 pacific). I welcome you to join us for it, and look forward to seeing you there and to seeing your posts here!
Again welcome! Ask any questions you may have!
