Wheeeeeeeeeee... well actually Wii

I recently bought the wii system, made by nintendo. I decided to buy it because I ran across a place where everyone was just raving about the new "active" game (not to be confused with the fit). The wii system came with the sports game ... so that was a kewl bonus.

Let me just say...if you are looking for a real workout, toning, activity, or whatever, this is something else! They have different workouts and different intensity settings for the workouts. I accidentally set mine at medium intensity. I meant to start with easy.  Whoooaaaa!!  I kept up with the entire workout, but let me tell you, I did the first workout Sunday evening, and until today, my front, outter and back thighs were feeling it, big time and boyyyyyyyy did my poor butt feel it too! For TWO full days!

The following night (Monday) I played the sports game instead of the active, as I was sore sore on my lower half, I could have never repeated that workout or any other lower body workout. So I played the boxing game on the sports game. The next day... my arms could feel it, but no where near as bad as my lower body from the day before. I took Tuesday night off from it.

It is actually pretty fun, and definately a weather proof way to be active. So, I just thought i'd share my experience with you all.

Here's to staying active!

What game is the dance one on? The "FIT" game or ???? I don't recall seeing that one, but then again, I just started with the wii.

Sounds fun!  Do you enjoy it even if you don't pass? LOL (Cuz I probably won't either...I'm a terrible dancer!)  Thanks for the info!

it's as much about your brain reacting quickly to instructions and getting your body to respond as much as it is about dancing.  it is set to music, but it is hard. i think i will keep trying it, even though it is hard on my knees, because i love to dance also. have a good night. vick
