Wow Vick! You wake up early! LOL. I am finally up and about. I slept until about 8 am.

Soooo about 2 weeks ago I bought myself a Wii console and the wii active game. (not to be confused with wii fit). I had not yet had the opportunity to use it, as my hubby and I were out of town, then just busy busy busy. Then I decided that "busy" was just an excuse. I had been in astruggle with a case of the blues, which I have been slowly fighting my way out of. SO.. last evening I decided I was going to take a no excuses approach. I got my happy little behind up and used my wii active. Well today my butt is sore..lol the muscles in my behind and upper legs are fully aware of the workout I completed last night. AND it was only the 20 minute workout, at medium intensity. I intended to start with the low intensity, but somehow managed to change it to medium as I was setting it up.  But I was able to do the whole thing, even running when it was time for that. Ar first I was like... yeah right! ME? RUN? but I did it! AND I didn't drop over dead! LOLOL. I am not as sore today as I thought I was going to be, as last evening after the workout my legs felt like sore noodles!  So... thats the latest with me! And as of yesterday I was finally down another pound! That's a good thing too! 6 more pounds and I will be a 100 lbs lost! WOW! 26 more pounds and I will be at my goal weight of 150. Once I get there, we'll see how I feel. The weight loss has been very slow going for me for the last 3 months. BUT it is still going in the right direction. And I know if I put out more effort, I can step it up.

Many issues going on right now make it very hard to focus on my wls lifestyle as much as I'd like to, and so I have to learn to balance things more. If you check out the links button to the right of the screen you can read about a tragic accident my husband was involved in 2 years ago. It resulted in him being crushed head to toe, no one thought he'd survive. He thankfully did, but lives in constant pain and depression, and is totally blind now as a result of the accident. Our lives have been sadly rearranged, and in the last few months stress levels have been incredibly high, as we are preparing for his personal injury trial and have had to go to denver for many appointments and meetings and depositions, etc.

BUT... I made myself use my Wii, I am focuising more than I had been on my wls needs and moving forward. YEAY!!

i am so sorry to hear about your husband.  as care giver it is terribly hard on you as well. i know from experience.  i can understand the blues, if there is anything i can do, let me know.  i can give u my phone number if u want and u can call when it get to where u need a one on one.  you know, when i was caring for my husband, i actually got tired of everybody asking how he was doing and not asking me how i was doing. caregiver syndrome i guess. i love him dearly, but i wasn't getting the emotional support i needed what with all the stress i was under.  it's tough i know. take care and let me know what i can do. vick

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Yes.. It does get very hard, and your right, people tend to seethe other person as the only one going through anything. I am adjusting to that. People just don't understand how it is for us as caregivers, or as one who has lost a vital part of our relationships. But, you can't understand what you have not experienced. So I understand.
Thanks for your support and encouragement.
I'd love for you to send me your phone number. Please PM it to me, unless you want everyone to have it.
Hugs
Patrece
