Hi,
I live in The O.C. also & i've been rersearching WLS for *10* years! Now i'm seriously persuing it. I also have Kaiser & i finished both required orientations last week so my PCP could send in the referral. I'm just beginning the process. I have some big hurdles to overcome due to my disability before i can even be considered for surgery. I need to see a nuerologist & pulmonologist to get the ok. So i'm doing all that on my own while i'm waiting for my referral for WLS clinc & Options program to be reviewed.
Any and all advice is welcomed
Take care all,

Renee

Hi Renee! Welcome to our little, but growing group! I am delighted you have joined us.
I am not familiar with how your insurance company works, so hopefully someone else here has the same one, and can give you info on that.
I read your profil, hoping to learn what your disability is, and in deed I did. Thank you for sharing that information there. Again, I am not sure how that condition will effect your eligibility for the surgery, but I have to say here, that it seems losing the excess weight, could be very beneficial for you. Emotionally and physically. It seems it would make your transfers to and from your wheel chair much easier. But I do not know how the surgery and your disability will affect each other, or if they even would. I will add you to my list of people to keep in my prayers, and ask that what ever is best for you, will be enabled.

There is one other thing I really need to tell you. YOU are a BEAUTIFUL woman! BEAUTIFUL!!!!
If you end up not being able to have surgery, there are things that can still be done, if you feel you truly need to shed those extra pounds. But please remember always, how beautiful you are!

Please keep us posted on how everything is going! Ask any and all questions you have. If I can help answer them I definately will. If not, I will do my best to find the answers you need, if it is within the scope of my ability.

Welcome again to our group! I hope you will stick with us and share your journey with us!
