How is your weekend going?
Have you been having a nice weekend? I sure hope so!
How have your choices been? Have you gotten in any physical activity?
I went for a walk last evening with my husband, son, his wife and my 2 grandbabies. We walked 2.6 miles! Not bad eh?
We are preparing for a cook out, so I must go. Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Lost 114 lbs. working on getting rid of a recent 10 lb regain...and WILL succeed!
Hello! Well, I hope you all had an excellent weekend! I did! Surrounded by family and fun. One thing I have learned very well, since my husbands life threatening accident almost 2 years ago...Family, friends, loved ones...they are the stuff that really makes life good!
I was afraid that I would have a hard time staying on task this weekend with my goals, due to having much company. But to my suprise I am pleased to report that I did do very well after all. I even got in my walks on Sat and Sun. Saturday we all went for a 2.6 mile walk together. Sunday, my husband and I hit the road for a shorter 1 mile walk. I had to tone it down for that walk, as I stubbed my toe in the driveway, and ripped the skin on the end of it pretty bad. With each step, my toe would bump the end of my shoe. OUCH! But I was determined I would walk, and I did. There was a time in my life where I would grasp for any excuse to NOT exercise, and now I have conquered this! I fight off any excuses that may come to mind, even a sore toe. LOL. Now while this may seem silly or insignificant to some, it is big for me. It is a key change in attitude that I needed and wanted in my life. A Major Non scale victory for me!
So how did the weekend go for the rest of you? Now remember... there are no knocks here! This is your safe place to just be you and to be accepted and cared for. Even what you may see as the smallest of wins is a big win! Its all a step in the right direction! If you got off track, thats okay too. acknowledge it, accept it, and move forward. Today is a new day! It is your day! Every moment is a new moment. Embrace them all!

Our weekend went well. My husband & I built a new 8' x 4' garden box in the backyard on Saturday. On Sunday, we filled it with soil (8 BIG bags!) and transplanted our tomato plants that we started from seed. Three different varieties...I can't wait till they're ready to pick!
Since I'm still pre-op & over 300lbs, that was a LOT of exercise for me. My back is sore from lifting all those bags of soil & bending/squatting to plant the tomatoes. I am SO ready to not have every little thing hurt.

Ohhh good for you! Sounds like a productive weekend too! I LOVE fresh tomato's. They are one of the things I really look forward to every year! YUMMY!
You are going to be so happy when you are on the losers bench! You will feel so much better, and have more energy! Its just such a wonderful gift, after living with M.O.!
I bought my plants this year and am doing them in containers, as I just have wayyyyyy too much going on this year to try to get a garden going. As long as I get my tomatos I am a happy camper!
