Good to see your post Carol.  Congratulations on the surgery date.  We are here for support, come on back and post away.  There is an article that discusses some of the emotional issues during weight loss located in the blog area, look for the blog tab above Patrece's photo over on the right of this page.  I had RNY myself, and am surprised at how little I can take in and be completely satisfied.  There are other lapbanders here on this site that will offer their insight too.  Gotta get up and do some moving.  I know that after work you may be tired, me too some days.  I find that now that I have made exercise a habit, I crave it and don't get the right sense of being for the day until I have completed some activity.  I am about 10 weeks post-op at this time and have more energy than I have had in the last several years.  I have type 2 diabetes and may consider it in remission at some point, but know that it could rear it's head again later in my life.  I have a younger brother and a niece with type 1 diabetes.

I was very tired the first couple of weeks after surgery, got better fairly quickly after that.  Adding your surgery date to my list for December, what a great year end gift for yourself.  Hugs, Kathy

I, at one point did go in and set up that scale thing that shows how much lost, how much to go, etc. I wanted to ga back and change it and do not know where to go. I also noticed that it is not showing with my posts. Is this because I have not had any change? Please help me through this site.

Carol, when you go to the area where you update your info and made your ticker, it has a code you have to put in your signature for it to show. I think it gives the fdirections on how to do it, when you get to the page with the code.
Good luck, and if it doesn't work let me know and I'll try to help you more.
Hugs!

Welcome to my fellow newbies! I'm about a week ahead of you on this sight and still learning my way around. Great bunch of folks on here, very caring and smart cookies!

Hon, so sorry about your terrible losses. There is nothing as painful as losing a child. My 3rd was stillborn at full term 16 years ago and without my other 2 children to care for, I don"t know what I'd have done. Sounds like you have a beautiful family & I know those 2 little ones will always be in your heart and part of that family.

I look forward to getting to know you and traveling this road together.

Hugs, Rhonda

Hi Kathy and Patrece,
I know its been awhile since I've chatted with you all on Monday evenings. I go to school at night so i was missing out on the chats.. However, everything has been going well for me.. Weight loss has stalled a big (for about 6-8 weeks), but i can tell the inches are falling off..

However, just wanted to stop by and say hello... Vomiting episodes has deceased and I have been able to eat.. Hopefully with the spring semester coming up, although I will still be in school, I hope to meet up with you all on chat on Mondays.

I also want to say that I really appreciate the support that you all give. Very friendly and I love it.. We don't see much of that  anymore unless you "belong" or "fit in".. So I appreciate you all...

Take care,
Flo

Flot.. here if you reach out to join our group, you do belong and you fit as much as anyone does. We are all here with the same end goals..beating obesity!

I am glad your nausea is better than it was, but wi**** would just g away altogether for you. Not sure why you would be stalling that long with the weight loss, unless it is that you are replacing fat with muscle.. and it sounds like that may be the case, if you can tell you are losing inches.
Hang in there! You are going to make it!
Thanks for checking in, have been wondering about how you are doing!

Hello,
I'm Lisa. I'm 42 years old and a single mom of 3 amazing kiddos. I had my surgery on September 1st 2009. I started my journey at 307, I weighed 274 the day of surgery, and today I'm down to 220.5. It hasn't been easy but it has been very rewarding. I love my RNY. ...

I also wanted to wish you all a Happy Holiday season....xoxo
