I did lot's of reseach ;)
I love my fur babies, no human babies, but lots of fur... on everything really lol. Congrats on your weight loss!!! I will check out your profile!
Thank you :D
Love is, it just is. And nothing you can say will make it go away, because it is the point of why we are here, it is the highest point! And once you are up there looking down on everyone else... you'r there forever... because if you move right... you fall.

Good for you on doing your homework!  So do you have your actual date yet?  I personally found that be ultra informed and having full faith in my surgeon, really keopt me calm prior to surgery. Only real strong emotions were excitement and impatience for the day to arrive.. lol.

I hear ya on the fur babie.. they are awesome.. we too have the fur fight around here..trying to keep it off of everything, especially this time of year. We have a white Shep that sheds bad, and I have had to even start picking different colors for my clothing based on how well it will hide her fur..lol.

Again, welcome! Glad you found us!

And I shoped so to say for a surgeon that I could feel comfortable around. This is the only one so I think it will be okay :)

my name is Ginny and new to the site not sure how to post except found this welcome . I had RNY on 4 /21 and still having episodes of vomiting this past week hard to keep anything down. frustration is setting in but I know this will be worth it  in the long haul. I am to return to work on Friday and dread working 12 hours with little to eat or drink. vitamins have been hard to get in along with calcium. I hope to get advise from others in same situation or who have been there done that before.

Welcome to the family Ginny.  I am posting your introduction below to let more members greet you.  We sometimes miss posts in this welcome section, lol.

Congrats on successful completion of your RNY.  I had RNY last sept and am so glad that I made the decision to have wls.

What work do you do, you will need to get your fluids and supplements in to maintain your health.  12 hour shifts are pretty long for your inital time back to work.  Do not overdo and make yourself ill.  The nausea will pass, if it continues, please get ahold of your surgeon.  Do your best to get in your fluids, then protein.  Looking forward to reading more posts from you as you travel this adventure.  Hugs

Hello,
I recently joined this group but it is my first time joining a group on a social network site and not really sure where I am supposed to post or how to navigate so apologies in advance if I have the wrong spot.

My name is Roxann (RLP39).  I am 39 years old, married with two children 18 and 14.  Actually, our daughter turns 18 on 06/01. I live in central California east of Sacramento. My surgery was moved up by 4 months so it came at a very busy time.  My daughter graduates from high school in a couple of weeks and turns 18.  My son and I had already paid for a trip to NY and DC and will fly out June 12 when I am about 6 1/2 weeks post-op and I will be traveling to Florida to settle my daughter in to her first year of college at University of Miami in August!  Thankfully, I am able to take plenty of time off from work and my director is allowing me to work from home through the end of June.  I am starting out gradually just a couple hours a day but will probably start working 1/2 days on Monday.  I have read so many people that go right back but I don't know how they do it. :-)  Right now this process is taking almost all of my concentration and energy though it gets better each day.

I had RNY WLS on 05/3/10.  I am two weeks out and had my staples removed today.  I have just moved from the protein/milky liquid phase to pureed and blenderized food.  I look forward to sharing information and support with all of you!

Welcome to our group! Glad to have you Roxann! Welcome to the wls journey as well. Hang n there in the early weeks / months it does take a lot of effort and focus, but you will adjust and it will get easier. But i do know I have to always stay mindful, but not "hard concentration". Do take it easy when you return to work, and have a great and wonderful trip, on each one as you spend time with your children.

I had RNY 7/21/08 am 43, married, mom of 2 grown children, grammy of 2 with one more on the way in another 9 weeks or so. LOVE those grandbabies!

Its great to have you here. ask any questions you may have and let us know how we can help support you in your journey!

Welcome to the family Roxann,  you will find a helpful group here.  So lucky to have work that is flexible.  Enjoy the time settling your daughter into college.  Take care to not lift over your limit with the move.

Looking forward to reading more of your adventure.  Hugs

Welcome to the family Becky.  I hope to see your posts often.  Is there anything we can do to help in your support at this time?  Take these hoops one at a time, you will be having your surgery soon.  Hugs
