Back On Track Together

Hi Ladies! We are all in the same wobbly boat here. We all are fighting regain and posting here helps in many ways. Accountability is a big one but the support of knowing your not alone in this battle is huge. Put your stake in the ground and move forward with us. OK, some days it's two steps forward and one back but the idea is always looking forward! I don't know if I could fight the pounds without this support. No one else understands how this works. Welcome!
Good morning.
My plan for today:
B: Protein shake
L: 1/2 whole wheat sandwich thin with tomato sauce, turkey pepperoni, mozzarella cheese
D: Grilled chicken with green salad
S: Apple with almond butter
Have a good day!
You mentioned steroids....
How long had you been on them and when did you stop?
Sometimes steroid use may lead to steroids induced adrenal insufficiency.
I deal with Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency. Until i was properly diagnosed i dealt with hypoglycemia and severe reactive Hypoglycemia.
Now i am on cortisone (daily, divided dosage) to suplement what my body does not make.
When i was dealing with the issues before (low BS, low BP, depressed and tired..low energy etc ) i suspected either adrenals, thyroids or... Insulinoma (body makes too much insulin - causing low BS, weigh gain, and other issues.)
T took me a year to be able to see a great endo who did not dismissed me and run tests to determine what it's going on. My first endo i saw was a moron... Thanfully i knew better to take his opinion of my issues seriously...(he did not think i needed any tests and told me it was my fault for having RNY..and too deal with it..)

It was great to get back on tonight and see your posts. It is frustrating I feel like after all these years post surgery I should have it together. You are so right I have had some very difficult times this year and I know I must be using food to feel better. My husband is loosing his sight and has been medically disabled. Money is tight and it has been a big adjustment for our whole family.
thank you so much for responding
Had my first experience taking a one-hour "Insanity" class today, right after my usual one-hour weight training session. I usually take a spin class but wanted to give this a try. It kicked my butt -- but I made it thru the entire class and can't wait to take that one again. So I had a great start to my day and ended up with a really good overall day too. MFP tells me that if I do this every day for 5 weeks I'll hit my goal. Ha, ha, but still at least the right direction, YKWIM!? :)
B: Chike Protein Shake
L: 3 Oz lean pork, 1 small stalk broccoli
D: 2 Oz grilled salmon, small portion of a wedge salad with some bleu cheese, and 1 zucchini
Vits: all done
Water: ditto
----------Lather, Rinse, Repeat------------- Let's see if the momentum keeps up! :)
hello, I'm new to this group. I had my RNY in July 2004. I have gotten into some of my old bad habits and have gained more than I can say out loud. Would love the support if I can get it.
thanks
