Hi!  I am new around here.  Had rny in Sept 2012 and have done well but have gained 15 lbs from my lowest and 10 from where I was comfortable.  So, here I am!  I have tried many different approaches to deal with this.  The last few days have been really good and I think I have found some things that are working.  This is clearly going to be a long term thing i deal with.

B:  egg casserole (2 eggs, splash milk, 1/2 oz cheese and zucchini/onions/peppers)

L:  big salad, 3/4 c cottage cheese and 1 T dressing, tangerine

S:  depends on how hungry I am, either 1 oz dry roasted edamame or something from a convenience store (turkey slices, cheese slices maybe)

D:  4 oz Korean sliced beef with3/4 asian red cabbage slaw.  The yummiest thing ever!

S:  sf hot cocoa

Exercise:  dance/yoga/tai chi/hula hooping in my living room after the kids go to bed.

I feel good about getting back on track.

Old habits die hard !    Eating to avoid something else.....I think we have ALL been there !

I did OK with my eating this weekend.  Picked up my Bountiful Basket on Saturday and then went home and either cooked it or prepared it for the freezer.  Nibbled on fresh strawberries that were better than any I can buy at local store and the pineapple was probably the best one I have ever eaten !  Love Bountiful Baskets !!

todays plan.........morning vits✅   Walking started ✅   Water.....first 32 oz. in mug

breakfast........protein coffee

lunch..............homemade veggie soup (most of veggies from basket)  saltines

snack..............orange

dinner.............chicken/roasted veggies

I hope everyone has a healthy eating day !    I plan to !

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

Good morning and good job getting back on track Cathy. Last evening before I left for work I was worrying about the hour drive in the snow and I mindlessly stood and ate a handful of mini peppermint patties. Distracted eating and grazing are two of my most difficult challenges and when I'm tired I have to be extra vigilant. I did OK at work and only had some grilled chicken and vegetable soup. Today I will sleep and just have a snack (apple with almond butter) and dinner (meatballs with a salad).

I hope everyone has a good day.

I had a not so great eating on Saturday but got back on track yesterday.  While I'm not thrilled with Saturday, I'm happy that I got back to it yesterday.  I think part of it is that I needed to do our taxes this weekend and I didn't want to (whining here lol).  Logically, how dumb that I indulged in a carb fest to avoid and procrastinate about the taxes but that's what I did.  I didn't do the taxes yesterday either but still got on track so I'm happy about that.

My eats today:

B - Coffee

L - Ham steak, steamed broccoli

D - Chicken breast and green beans

S - 1/2 Quest protein bar, choc. peanut butter

Have a healthy day!

 Hi Botts,

It's always easier if we have someone there to help us.  When  you don't feel like going for a walk that person pokes you and says get on it.  If you are at the store and have those cookies in your hand, text your buddy and or come here and post and we will pull it out of your hands

If you are interested in getting a BOTT buddy, sign here.  Once you and another fellow Bott member decide to work together edit your post to say you have someone.  If you feel comfortable let members know where are you located and if there is someone near by that is cool.

I need a buddy and I am located in Plainfield, IL.  Between Joliet and Naperville.

Happy New Year Botts!!!!!!

Take care,
Kathy

WOO HOO!  Thanks Cathy!

B- 2 eggs scrambled

L/D-fish and veggie

Going out for dinner for my Mom's birthday.  My mom died 5 years ago, but my day still wants to do this.

Feeling a bit off today, but will not cave into emotional eating.  I do admit I am having a food fantasy involving caramel. I'll get over it.

Sorry if this is not an enthusiastic  post.  It is just me being real and committing my food in hopes it will help me as well as someone else.
