It really sounds like you are doing everything right.  It is frustrating when the results don't show up on the scale. I also did the 5DPT awhile ago.  It definitely comes the compulsion. I currently reduced my carbs to 20 grams a day and am getting in 70-80 grams of protein and lots of water. I wish I could tell you that I am losing quickly, but I am not.  I think the further out you get, I am almost at 3 years, the slower it come off.  I lost 5 pounds and have been stalled for a few weeks. I see you had VSG.  Have you always had a problem with iron?  I usually hear this more with bypass surgery.  No evidence based, but maybe your body is trying to conserve and slowing down due to the low iron levels.   Hope you begin to feel better.  I track  my food and also post it here.  It helps to commit for me.

Cathy glad you are doing well with your recovery from knee surgery.  I know the walking side ways down the stairs and when that is to painful walking backward.  Love those days when gratitude just fills you up.  I still am doing 5 things I have right now each morning.

Still not feeling well, but went to work anyway.  Another day of shoveling at home and work.  This was wet heavy snow and ice.  My exercise for today.  I got on the scale today which was a mistake.  I usually weigh in once week.  I gained a pound in 1 day.  How is that possible.  I ate 847 calories, 78 grams of protein and 10 grams of carbs yesterday.  This is why I should not get on the scale more than once a week.  It messes with my head and I felt fat all day.  Not logical, but there it is.  No weighing until the weekend.

B- omelette with peppers and onions

L-chicken thigh and spinach

D-cod and small salad

S- almonds

I don't think your calories are too low.  Are you getting in over 60 g of protein in?  How is your water intake?  I would think if you are very low on energy, you are not exercising.  Maybe adding a walk if possible.  Regardless, we are all here for you and are sharing your experience.  Best wishes!

Topic: what am doing wrong?

I have gained back 30lbs back from my lowest weight loss (never did reach my goal).  I had a VSG in 2009.  I did the Pouch diet and as difficult as that was I did it and felt that it worked.  I had my water intake, only am eating protein and veggies/fruit.  I am staying away from rice/pototoes/pasta..the carb.  The first week doing the pouch test I lost 8lbs..I was so excited, since then I have not lost anymore weight.  I am tracking all my food, I have the app. fitnesspal and I have a vivofit which is tracking my activity.  I am so low on iron so very low in energy.  I am likely going to have to have iron infusions.  I am getting about 600-900 calories per day.  Is that to low?  Any ideas, thoughts anyone can share would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much

I'm feeling especially grateful today.  From having knee surgery, I have a deeper appreciation of my hubby and sons.  They were so amazing and supportive, and continues to be.  I'm doing work things that I love.  Even though my recovery will continue for months, I'm feeling better. For the first time in years, I'm able to walk down stairs without turning sideways.  I can go down stairs like normal.  I'm grateful for our BOTT group.  I'm able to stay on track much easier posting my eats and being with all of you.

My eats today:

B - Coffee

L - Ham steak and green beans

D - Chicken breast with salsa and green beans

S - Apple and 1 slice cheddar cheese

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy day!

Cathy

It's a date Cathy!!! If I can find one for Thanksgiving day I'm in!!!! I will definitely be able to do it then and will have a new goal for a new time. By then I should be able to do it with flying colors and should be working on my speed not my endurance.  Wouldn't that be awesome. I'm going to do some research now and see if there are any in the area on or around Thanksgiving THanks for the offer its just more to keep me motivated!!!! YOu are awesome.
