Hello!

Have any of you read any good books geared towards WLS patients post surgery?

I'm just looking for something to read that pertains more to me.

Thanks!

Day One: breakfast: cheerios, coffee/milk, orange juice, vitamin.

Back to the POOL! I'd forgotten how wonderful post swim euphoria is. Having a protein drink now, lunch a bit later. One has to beware of the post swim munchies.

Bad: Always tough to take off the robe and walk into the water. And - Wow, I am weak. Tired out very fast swimming laps, but I expected that. This is gonna be a lot of work. Curious item, walking around I can't feel my new knee at all, but swimming, my leg could feel the weight. No pain, just odd sensation that my knee was heavier than it was before. Got used to that pretty quick, probably won't even notice from now on.

Good: I still love to swim, and my body hasn't forgotten that. After arthritis exercise, swim and then time in the hot tub, I feel great.

Ya know, once I'm in the water, I always feel so good. Taking the robe off to walk into the pool always sucks, penance, I guess, for a lifetime of bad eating habits; but once I'm in, I transform into a creature of grace and beauty. Walking back out sucks, too, but once I reach the hot tub, it's forgotten! The combination of water exercise and hot tub works miracles for my arthritis. This pain relief will last for hours, too, and once it wears off, I'm gonna want to go back for more.

Which is a good thing. :-)

Consider yourself kicked!

You already know that you're making excuses.  That insight is important because you can change and nix the excuses.

Please update us as to how you're doing.

I use the free version of fitday.com.  I've used it for years and have entered a lot of custom foods.  It has a lot of features that I use. There is a paid version also but don't know if it has a phone app.
