Back On Track Together

Hi there. We get tired of the same ole thing. Being on a restricted eating plan(notice I didn't use the "D" word!) can get boring. I'm not a creative cook so I can easily get into a rut. I hear you about breakfast. The only thing that works for me is a protein shake. I vary by adding fruit. I don't do eggs either. Icky! Going out for breakfast is difficult. Everything is either bread, pancake or eggs.
If you like yogurt Greek yogurt is a good breakfast change of pace.
Thanks for sharing!
Not that I dislike my morning oat ritual, but I could use some suggestions for breakfasts. I'm open to anything except egg whites, they make me sick.
I've started tracking, recording what I'm eating, too. Also going back to the Protein First rule.
Good luck with your dog...hope it isn't anything serious. Just got back from an overnight for a concert and I'm really tired. Just getting too old to stay up so late! Need to avoid tired, mindless eating today.
My plan:
B: Whole wheat toast, fruit
L: Deli turkey roll ups, salad
D: Grilled chicken, asparagus
S: Apple with almond butter
Hope everyone has a great day.
I really need to post here....my dog injured his paw and I'm worried about him. We will probably take him to the pet urgent care. We gave him a low dose of aspirin to see if that helps. If not, urgent care will be next. I'm commiting here with all of you that I'm not going to emotionally eat over this.
Eats:
B - Coffee
L - Chicken breast with salsa
D - Grilled Talipa with green beans
S - Apple with French Onion Laughing Cow wedge
Have a Super Saturday as we BOTT

Your goal of tracking is one of the best ways to stay on track. I've had regain and one of the ways that was most helpful is tracking my food. If I didn't want to see it on my journal, I didn't eat it.
I'm glad that you posted this so we can support you.

Eating protein. Wow..what a revelation..NOT. I've always known it and damn if it's still not true. Such a simple lesson to learn over and over again. I'm very happy that it still works.
Tracking food. Again..something everyone knows.
I'm losing weight and I'm full all the time.
So my goal is to commit to tracking for 21 more days and to eat protein and then figure out another simple thing. Maybe that exercise helps. But not this week.

Having a hungry head day. I started with meditation this morning as I got to work before anyone. I got in 20 minutes. Why are some days so effortless and some so challenging? All day long I have kept asking myself what my need is as I know it is not food. I came up with a few answers. I need quite restful time. Having a flare up and want to feel better. Two coworkers what to do something nice for me for my birthday and I have so many issues around receiving. I don't deserve it, if they really knew who I was they wouldn't do this etc etc. So I put back the protein bar I picked up at the grocery store, stopped lingering in the ice cream isle and got my eggs and left. Staying BOTT.

Really tempted to bake cookies today. I know that is a huge mistake. I don't have a problem with store bought cookies - but homemade - oh yeah!
Head in the game - still on track!
