Back On Track Together

My GI says he has no other treatment options other than to place a feeding tube in me. Yeah me, NOT! Does anyone here have any experience or know anyone that has had one post RNY? I am 13 years post op. I am concerned also about what this will do to my weight. The doctor says that I should actually lose since I have been in starvation mode for so long. I'm just starting to do my own research. I still haven't heard back from my bariatric doctor yet as to his opinion. Any info would be appreciated!

The decisions we have to make as parents sometimes are heartbreaking. So glad you are taking care of yourself so you can be fully present to do what you need to for your family. You are a strong women. Hugs.
Cathy, thank you so much for the welcome and for creating this group. I was so relieved to find it! I am 5 years post op and had the VSG. I never met my goal of 140 but that never mattered to me because I was 150 then 160 and still felt and looked wonderful But now, I'm 175 and I don't know how I got here! I'm demoralized and find myself failing every time I try to get back on track. So, instead of losing weight I am gaining. OMG! How in the world does that happen? I still find that I have restriction because when I eat the way I am supposed to, it works. I welcome this group and I welcome feedback, guidance, moral support, etc! Thank you! Ruthie
So glad you're getting back to a better place. Take care of you most of all.
Hang in there. Once you and your husband put a plan into action, it will help. The limbo, the not knowing, and the second guessing are the hardest. Do what is best for you, your family, and your son.....in that order. Take care and remember that we are here for you.
Fantastic... yea... keep plugging along..
BTW:I had a great dinner with a girlfriend last night... glass of wine, 10 wings (dry rubbed- lemon -pepper- so good); couple of celery sticks- and i was stuffed... the 2.5 hrs with a great friend was priceless... .

I want to thank those of you that supported me in my post about my son and emotionally eating. I've come to value even more that power that our BOTT group support is.
I'm now reset and back on track. From the replies, I have in my head that I'm not going to turn to emotionally eating to have this situation be more than I am. Plus, emotionally eating makes the situation worse and truly does nothing positive for me. It allows me a few minutes of escape but then it is gone. What stays is that I feel worse emotionally, mentally and physically.
The situation with my son is the same. My hubby and I have decisions to make. My heart is still just broken over the situation. Now I feel stronger to deal with it.
It is difficult for me to reach out. I'm a better giver than receiver. I'm glad that I reached out here. Instead of emotionally eating for a week, month.....I indulged on Saturday through Wednesday (yesterday). That's progress from what I've done before.
Thanks for reading (even when I babbled LOL) and your support.

I made the cookie/muffin tops and they are delicious. Thanks for sharing your recipe. They helped me with not going to the other stuff that I was eating.
Thanks for your support and replies.
