Fantastic. BTW - for a good LNS- I made popsicles out of good tasting protein shake.  I pick 1 (4 oz) or 2 of them if I need that... summer is great ... winter - I make protein waffles.. (they also work in summer) and freeze them, then have n very easy reheat - add SF syrup or SF preserves ..

Good morning Librarian CK and botts

Congratulations on the diet and the new car.  My car is 16 years old this summer.  I never drive it in the winter because of the salt on the roads in WI.  I hope I never have to replace it because I don't know what I would buy.  I hope you can enjoy your new car for many years.

My food plan today:

B: JD sandwich delight

S: salad and orange

L: Marie Callender's entree

S: veggie soup and nectarine

D: sauerbraten and mashed potatoes

S: Greek yogurt and an apple

I plan on cleaning and gardening for exercise.  I would love to go to the gym for a swim and sauna this afternoon.  Looks like we might have a thunderstorm today as well so my plans may change.  Have a great day everyone.  Tri

Hi Ruby

Did you have 1 knee replaced 2 times or both knees replaced once?  Tri

Yesterday went fairly well.  We DID by the new car - which ended up taking FOREVER! - so I didn't get my walk in. However, even though it was after 8 before we ate dinner (I was SO hungry!), I made good dinner choices - salad with blue cheese dressing and a cup of chili w/beans. Lots of fiber!

Today's food plan

b: HB patty (left over), swiss cheese, 1/2 low carb/high fiber wrap

s: (if needed) Atkin's day break bar

L: grilled chicken diablo, low carb/high fiber wrap, babybell cheese

s: white cheddar, almonds

dinner: pork tender loin, bell peppers

I've been doing very well since getting off the carbs at not needing something to eat at night. :-)  But just in case - protein shake if needed.

The last two years have been a freaking nightmare.  While this is over simplifying the matter, I had two knee surgeries (October 2014 and April 2015) and was not working for five months.  There are other nasty contributing factors which I won't include here but the bottom line is that I gained 45 freaking pounds.  I am happy to say, however, I am BOT! (can you hear my best Arnold Schwartznegger impression?) I am finishing day 8 of careful diet tracking with MFP and also a daily treadmill walk ranging from 45mins to 120mins.  Apparently my fitness level is still intact even if my body isn't.  I'm looking forward to skiing this winter.  I am also looking forward to maybe being a runner again which I was pretty sure was not going to happen since,at 43, I seem to be destined for bi-lateral knee replacement.  Here in Canada, they don't like to even look at you for those things unless you are lurking around 50.  It was killing my life's joy.

My dietitians have always recommended fiber to make me feel fuller so I'll just go with that.  I thought maybe there was a reason that fiber was bad for us.  Thanks and take care, Tri

Good job!  I've got a 2 mile walk planned for exercise, and I've done very well on this weekend.  This is day 5 of low-carbing and I am SO glad to make it through the weekend! :-)

B: 4 oz lean beef

s: aTkins day break

L: baby spinach salad with light Italian dressing and 2 oz ribeye steak (left over from weekend)

s: 1 oz white chedder, 1/2 oz roasted almonds

d: MAYBE going out to eat if we go buy the new car, otherwise, roasted pork tenderloin, spinach and bell peppers

Good morning botts

Today I am cleaning, gardening and swimming for exercise.  I hope you all have some movement planned.  I am using the Mayo clinic diet site to log my food.  It is pretty accurate.  I am also using some frozen food for portion control.  It is my biggest problem.  I eat too much food.  it seems to be helping. I miss the support of OH though so I thought I'd pop back in here.

B: Jimmy Dean delight

S: nectarine and salad

L: Marie Collender's entree

S: orange and veggie soup

D: beef, onion and Santa Fe low carb tortilla

S: plain Greek yogurt and apple

Hope you all have a great day.  Tri

about 4 pounds and not happy about that.  My skin feels different now.  I do work in the garden and walk as much as possible. I will keep trying and I will take your suggestions and drink more water. Sooner or later my body will have to give it up and start getting rid of that weight.
