you describe me. Not only sugars or artificial sweeteners but also starches, like bread, pasta, potatoes...etc. i can't have "just a serving" once in awhile. If I have - I want more and more and more.. I call them triggers. Trigger foods that starts the carby cycle...
For me it is easier not to have any than to limit qties. Some fruits will also affect me like that. Splenda or aspartame - same deal - cravings.
But saccharine and real liquid stevia are OK for me.

I edited my food plan and it came up as your post. I also tried to reply to your reply. It was something about a revision. I qualified for wls at 200 lbs. because I am a very bad diabetic. I have no idea what happened. Tri
Good morning botts
I lost a pound this morning. I am 211. This is going to be a long journey. Have a great day. Tri
My food plan today:
B: Jimmy Dean delight
S: 2 clementines and plain Greek yogurt
L: turkey meatballs, whole wheat pasta and spaghetti sauce; side salad with fat free dressing.
S: frozen fruit and plain Greek yogurt smoothie
D: beef stew
S: veggie soup, pineapple cheesecake sf/ff
I can't eat sugar or fruit juice. I do eat fruits, veggies, Splenda, grains and wheat...mostly whole grains. I don't crave sugar. Splenda doesn't make me want sugar and it does taste sweet to me. Tri

Wondering if I am the only one who finds that eating carbs makes me crave more carbs and sugar? Also, when I eat foods that taste sweet, such as foods with artificial sweeteners, then I crave sweet foods. In the first year after my surgery I ate little to no carbs or sugar!! I was super strict and dedicated. But once I began eating either, (almost with the first bite), the cravings for both came back with a vengeance! Could just be me, but I wonder if I'm the type of person who needs to avoid sweets all together :/

I am a big salt eater unfortunately! But I know when I do have a meal that is high in sodium that I can not only expect to not see the scale go down the next day, but it will show a slight gain. It's only temporary, but still discouraging none the less. Are you really able to lose weight and be able to eat around 1800 calories a day? If you are, how lucky for you!! Wish I was able to, but the scale would not go down at all if I ate anymore than 1100 a day :/
lol.. it is an OH glitch. Probably tri edited her post..and ...OH glitch caused ditto delete yours.. I 've see it happens before..
you should report that to help them fix that...

Why does it show my reply as a copy of the original post??? I must not know what I am doing on here :/
Good morning botts:
I was hoping to lose a lb. this morning, but I am 212 again. I ate too much salt yesterday. My rings are tight. My biggest problem is portion size. I eat too much of everything. I need to measure more. I have a serving spoon that is 1/2 cup. I need to focus as I fill my plate. I also like stuff with salt in it. I don't use salt per say, but it is in all commercially prepared products: canned food, cheeses, seeds and nuts (unless salt free). Especially low fat and low sugar food. Also moving is difficult because I have a lot of aches and pains. Tylenol helps. I burn 10 calories per pound of me. I weigh around 210 and eat around 2100 calories. If I eat 250 calories less and exercise 250 calories more per day I will weigh 160 lbs eventually. Doesn't that sound simple? I think I did that yesterday but it takes time and patience and consistency.
My food plan today:
B: Jimmy dean delight
S: 2 clementines and plain Greek yogurt
L: side salad with fat free dressing, beef stew
S: pineapple cheesecake sf/ff
D: beef stew
S: nut crunch protein bar
Exercise is more cleaning and decorating for Christmas.
Have a great day, Tri
