❤️😀❤️😀❤️ Thank you for posting! I have found tons of inactive boards on wls sites, and it frustrates me! I really need to connect and give and receive support to make it work for me! My best efforts got me to my pre-surgery weight of 340 lbs on a 5' 3" body!

Arielle, glad you are able to restore your vision, that's amazing. Thanks for the support. It means so much to know that I am not alone in this fight. Tuna salad sounds great. Love cucumbers.

love egg face'so site, she is so creative and I have made some of recipes and have not been disappointed.

Glad to hear from you and glad you are back on track! Way to go!

I have always had to watch carbs and in years past went hog wild with unrefined ones just because! Lol noNow, I know my body really well, and my doc's plan is pretty easy to give clarity. I have eliminated most all of them, flour of any kind is long gone, sugar was a given. I follow my plan very carefully, measuring everything and if it fits into my plan, great, but if not, it's out! It feels much better this way!

Hi there, Italianspice! Thank you for sharing your week. I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. I have also had lots of back pain to handle on and off. I know that for me, without a channel for the emotional stuff and a way to fill my needs that isn't turning to food, I inevitably look to food to comfort me. My work has been as much about learning new ways to comfort myself and to express myself, as getting honest with my food. It's been very challenging for me to get real with the emotions pouring through me without numbing them!

This week has been hard because I had laser eye surgery to remove scarring from a previous lens implant surgery. It was intense, scary and exhausting trusting a new doctor with my eyes! It worked well, thank God! I see clearly now on the right side! Now the left will need to be done. Whew! I have felt really frustrated with the imbalance in my vision. Now I feel nauseous and get bad headaches because my eyes are out of whack! Lol So I am trying to be gentle and kind to myself, not expecting too much from myself.

I am following a 1200 calorie gastric bypass plan, but eating a little more around 1,000. - 1,000 most days. Thanks to my going back to my plan, my pouch has shrunk a lot and I am listening to it by stopping when full! I struggle with balance with carbs and fats, but try to just simply do my best and flow with it.

I made a great tuna salad for lunch with part low fat mayo and part Greek yogurt with some great spices! I made cuccumber slices into crackers and had some celery boats, too, with a stalk. It was great and satisfying!

Hang in there! I know all about them hormones too! Lol I like to get to Michelle Vicari's website, Theworldaccordingtoeggface.com, for great recipes that can be tasty and healthy, but also, sweet without sugar! It has helped me immensely! You're not alone! ❤️😀❤️😀❤️😀❤️

If you go to You Tube, do a search for "Fat Doctor" - it is a British show about people needing and getting weight loss surgery.  There are quite a few.

Thanks Hala! I always appreciate your posts and feed back. It means a lot to know that you get it.

I don't have RH, but carbs do make me very hungry. I love fruit, but it can really get me into a grazing mode.

Thanks Shirley for your honesty. You're an amazing woman. I guess I am struggling with the fact of my food addiction is still there. I just want to stuff down the pain and the emotions just like the pre surgery me.

I guess I haven't done any serious damage yet, but I could easily see myself weighing more that I did pre op, if I don't change my relationship with food.

Love the idea abou****ching the videos. Great job on getting back on track!

Even unrefined carbs, like in beans, fruits, grains, etc. afected my BS level - that in turn affected my insulin, and hunger.

Giving up on unrefined carbs like grains, most fruits, even nuts that have higher carb to fat ratio was really hard.  Accepting that most fruits are no-no for me, and the one i can have needs to be  limited to one or 2 times a week was REALLY hard.

I went through phases of crying, being angry, rebailing, etc... At the end i learned how to modify my diet, cook in a new way, even be able to enjoy my new way of eating.

I still have "stupidity" hour or so, but the "payback" when i stray is a ***** The hunger, the gas, the anxiety, severe RH, etc etc... Are really just reinforcement for me too stay the course.

In my book ~ carb is a carb is a carb. Ther are no "free carbs", "net carbs", etc...

So called "fiber" in processed food like protein bars (i.e. quest bars) is a joke to my body and bacteria in my gut. They become masters of processing any carb into sugar.

H.a.l.a, you are absolutely right about the posts!  Your response shows very positive thinking.

I agree 100% about carbs, especially refined sugary products.  Processed carb-laden products are my enemy.  I love my enemy, but I do recognize now that I can't invite it into my diet and still be healthy and keep on track.
