Hi Amie
My program is evolving. I will try the lean cuisine next time I go to the store. I think the packaged foods are pretty high in sodium. Maybe those will be better for me. Maybe some day my eyes will get used to the smaller portion. It looks like you are doing well. So many of us are battling the regain.
I garden in 30 minute increments. I enjoy being out in the garden and watching the flowers and plants grow. Tri
Good morning botts
I decided to have the JD sandwich for breakfast because it is higher in protein and they taste pretty good.
My plan today is:
B: Jimmy Dean delight whole grain bagel sandwich
S apple with 1 tbsp. peanut butter
L: Lasagna and salad with fat free dressing
S: Nutrisystem blueberry muffin
D: Beef and pasta and veggie soup
S: 1 cup plain Greek yogurt and frozen fruit smoothie
Exercise will be laundry and more gardening this afternoon.
Hi Tri,
Glad your program is working. I enjoy your posts and find them inspiring. I am also working on portion sizes. I eat lean cuisine almost everyday.
Keep up the good work and kudos for two hours of weed pulling. Just thinking about that makes my back hurt😊.
Amie
Thanks for the suggestions and I will try using a crock pot and see if I can tenderize the meat by cooking it longer. Viva
Good afternoon botts. I hope your day is going well. I just read a post about protein and I looked up the protein on my packages. I only was planning on 70 gms of protein. I think I need more than that so I added a 3 oz slice of pork tenderloin. That is 92 gms of protein. I think that is enough. My problem has always been keeping my serving sizes down. For me the packages are helping a lot. Tri
My plan today:
B: Nutrisystem D bar 10 g protein
S: Nutrisystem D cookies 6 gm protein
L: Weigh****chers beef and pasta; large salad with fat free dressing 13 gms protein
S: Nectarine and 8 almonds 3 gms protein
S: pork tenderloin 3 oz. 22 gm protein
D: veggie soup and Weigh****chers spaghetti and meatballs 16 gm protein
S: Nectarine and 1 cup plain Greek yogurt 22 gms protein
I pulled weeds for 2 hours today.
crock pot is my friend. or a pressure cooker.
I use salsa - put meat in the crockpot- cover with salsa - let it cook.
Make stews - then strain to remove most liquids.
Chillies - with mostly meats
I also make very thick spaghetti sauce. I eat mine with string zucchini - my BF - pasta.
Stir fry...
Mexican style fajitas
burgers.. (nicely spiced)
meatloaf ( I use ground flax meal or chia seeds instead of breadcrumbs)
and many many more...
