you can look like that. and feel like that, if you make that a priority.

Every time you reach for food or drink that does not nourish your body, and prevent you from reaching the goal- just think about the way you want to look and be, then put that thing away. .

I hear you about the salt.  I also found the TV dinners don't have enough protein for me.  I wonder if they really have the protein content they say they do.  Yes!  Never stop trying.  I was beginning to believe I had lost my zest for life and I was just going to be a forever couch potato.  I can't let that happen!!!!

Congratulation to all the above for losing weight and catching your regain at early stages.  I have tried everything over the years, but it is very hard to relose.  I actually never lost very much after surgery.  Until we stop trying though we haven't lost the war...just the battle.  Currently I am eating TV dinners...Smart ones, Nutrisystem and soon Lean Cuisines.  Portion sizes are my problem.  I am thinking about putting together my own TV dinners and freezing them.  The salt in these dinners is really high.

I find the ideas from this group helpful.  Keep posting and I will keep reading.

Best to all of us.  Tri

What an amazing weight loss of 214 pounds!

I had my RNY Nov.2009. I don't work so I can relate to the grazing. My biggest problem is/was eating at night. I gained by eating bad stuff and not following the plan. First it was 15 then I gained 10 pounds last month! I finally broke down Saturday and bought some clothes from a consignment shop (I also said I wouldn't buy a bigger size but my clothes were way tight) I paid $16.00 for 4 pairs of capris. I was devastated to learn I had gone from size 6 to a 12 but It gave me the motivation to really take the program serious. I am going to log everything I eat and exercise twice a day. I really like the app called fitness pal. It keeps me accountable.

Get back to the basics: eat your protein, don't drink with meals, get rid of the junk food.

You can do it look how far you have come!

Have a great weekend,

Amie

I'm freaking out!  I've been retired for almost 2 years now and have regained 48 of the 214 (or so)  lbs I lost.  My surgery was Oct 2009 and did great until I retired.  I have health issues so am home a lot.  Began doing ALL the bad stuff...grazing, drinking with my meals, junk food, eating bread and having sugar, drinking real coffee.  I make myself sick a lot and I think I've decided to punish myself for some reason!!???  Anyway, I am out of most of my clothes, my jeans are TIGHT, and I refuse to buy any new clothes in a bigger size.

I will try (on my own) weigh****chers with an emphasis on protein products.  Any other ideas?  I'm ready for help with this.  I've begun here several times before but never really followed through.  Thanks in advance!!!

PS..my sticker says I started at 269 lbs...it was actually 369...I've corrected it.
