Good morning BOTTS
I am 211 this morning (normal weight for me is 145 lbs. so I have a long way to go). I relost another pound this morning. I am still 11 lbs. higher than my surgical weight, but a pound is a pound and I will take it. Last night I ate a Jimmy Dean delight whole grain sandwich (not on the plan), Nutrisystem chocolate cake (planned) and Nutrisystem cheese puffs (not on the plan) because I was starving hungry. The cheese puffs were 1.16 oz., 150 calories, 3 gms. of fiber and 8 gms. of protein. I wish I could buy them separate from the box...what a great snack. If I had any other junk food in the house I would have scarfed it down. In the end it was only 1500 calories. I have had many worse days than that. No more rationalizing...I will try to control myself today.
My food plan:
B: Jimmy dean delight whole grain sandwich
S: low fat cheese and 2 plums
L: Nutrasystem cheese tortellini and a salad with fat free dressing
S: apple and 2 tbs. peanut butter
D: salmon, Thai peanut grains and 1 cup cooked Asian veggies
S: Nutrisystem chocolate chip cookies (fruit and veggies as needed)
I have a house full of guests arriving tomorrow, so I will continue cleaning the downstairs today. I would love to go to the gym for a slow swim and sauna this afternoon...pending time.

WOW!!! I can't believe you only gained 30 lbs....seriously!!! I know you need a multivitamin. Other people can help you with supplements better than me. I know we should eat protein first. I don't do that because I never fill up and so I get more than I need throughout the day. I like Greek yogurt, any meats or fish, cheese, nuts etc. They all agree with me so I get plenty of protein.
Now that you have control of your house again, please go through it and donate or throw away anything that has more than 5 grams of sugar or unhealthy fat per serving. When you are hungry eat healthy food.
I had friends stay over for several of the past weekends. They brought their junk food with them and it drove me crazy. When they left, I sent it home with them.
Living in the conditions you have been living and only putting on 30 lbs. is wonderful. I bet losing the stress and eating healthy will get you back to your goal weight quickly.
Can having a hernia repaired the same time as a tummy tuck save money? After my hysterectomy I learned that a tt at the same time would have saved money...who knew!

I use my favorite 16 oz. personalized wine goblet that was a gift. I make a large pitcher of Crystal light with 1 small packet of flavoring. I sip all day long. by the end of the day the pitcher is empty...sometimes twice.
Many years ago at a Weight Watcher's meeting, a woman weighed in in January and had lost weight. The only thing she watched over the holiday was to make sure she drank 8 glasses of water every day. I remember her story and it inspires me.

I am not a soda drinker most of the time. I never drank it until 7 or so years out. When I drink diet soda it has no effect on me. I drink too much coffee but it doesn't have any effect on me except wake me up in the morning. I can drink the milk except I have a rule to not drink any carbs because I am a diabetic. I eat yogurt and cheese. I did take an acid reducer to get rid of my ulcer. I never got tested to see if it was gone. They told me it would go away.
The zucchini mac and cheese is a wonderful idea!!!! I have a veggetti noodle maker. I will try that next time cheese is on the menue....Thanks.

Thank you, I tried really hard to make good choices over the last year for breakfast and lunch so I'm sure that helped. It was the dinners and after dinner snacks/treats that hurt me as we all ate together in the evening. Hubby has even put on some weight but I'm sure he will loose it pretty quick as he begins to eat healthy again.
I've already been through the pantry and taken care of tossing everything I could. I won't be able to do any major grocery shopping until hubby gets paid on Thursday so I kept the healthier choices and will purge again next week. I've tried to like greek yogurt but can't get past the texture. Its too thick and my brain won't allow me to eat it without gagging. I will head to the store today to pick up a few things just for me to get by until Thursday.
I'm not sure about the saving money part. I had a tummy tuck about 4 years ago. I had it done on base and you know the saying you get what you pay for??? Lets just say I need a revision as one side has a very noticeable bulge.

Been kinda rough on myself i have kinda felt like i am doing all this for nothing. I stopped drinking diet coke like a month ago and i feel like there is no good pay off. I have gained 2 lbs for my monthly weigh in. I go to the gym 3 days A week and cardio the other days. Just feel like crap. I just want a diet coke.the acid in my tummy makes me feel hungry all the time and i think that it kept the acid down in my tummy. I started drinking soda 2 yrs out and if i remember right i did it because of that feeling in my lower tummy. So Today i tried milk to settle my tummy and it worked even though i am severely lactose intolerant. Has anyone noticed that soda coffee or milk helps with unsettled tummys?

Snack 1\2 cup 2% milk
Dinner: Pork chop. Mock mac n cheese( made with zuchinni noodles) yum. Brocolli and cauliflower with dill
Snack home made ffcottage cheese and zuchinni egg roll
such an awesome feeling isn't it?

I struggle with my water intake also but I do find its easier for me when its ice cold. I have a favorite cup that I keep with me and I just make sure to keep refilling it. I like to infuse my water sometimes to change it up. My favorites are cucumber or lemon.

Hi New Life
I bought another 5 day Nutrisystem diabetes. Small portions, but they are holding me. It is nice to have some very small treats with high protein and fiber. Marie Ozmond has kept her weight off without WLS. I don't know if I will do this 5 days a week and take 2 off or just once in a while. I am definitely eating fewer calories the past 2 days.
