Back On Track Together
Weekend BOTT
Hi everyone!
How you guys doing ? Holidays party, cooking and backing. Running errands , forget to bring a good snack and drinks... We all ben there. Days like that are so easy to find excuses... Yet not enough water or even good food - may make you more tired, stressed, give you headache, indigestion and BM problems.
When You try to think about everyone else - don't forget about number one YOU. Put some non perishable snacks in your car and in your purse. Put a few bottle of water in a car for quick grab and go. Don't skip breakfast or nice shower at night to wash away the daily stress...
Hugs. Hala.
Please post how you manage the holidays parties.
I took 2 plates of lean meat to my party last night and ate mostly that, plus some veggies. I also took a bottle of diet tonic and I mix that with some wine, to limit how much wine I drank in the evening. ,

Hala, I did not do as well at my party as I had planned. I stress ate through a 1/2 piece of cheesecake and three oreo balls during a tornado warning and a tornado that hit our small town. Twenty people in the house and I am trying to figure out safe rooms for all my guests. We had mostly wind damage, downed trees and a few roof tops taken down but no one was hurt. It hit the north side of town and I am on the south side. I promise I will do better food wise on Christmas day!
You live to tell the tale... things will get better. Still not too much damage - food wise and other issues. Glad that nobody got hurt.
I try to deal with my food allergies - not sure what is causing that - but so far I found out that I am not allergic to wine... blessing and curse in one...lol.

Taking the plates to share that are foods I know I can eat go a long way to make me feel okay about attending a party where I am nervous about the food. In the past, if there was nothing, I would go, oh well, cheat night and that is not good and then you have a food hangover the next day - but when you have "safe food", there is something steadying about that. I might still try something, or have a bite of something else, but I pretty much stay on my better path....thanks for the reminder! I always have extra fluids - hate paying premium prices if I forget (but I will, if necessary) and try to carry snacks, too. Same theory....to choose something else has to beat what I am carrying and wow, it works!!
