Back On Track Together
Saturday, June 22nd, Cardio & Cafe
Good evening, BOTT friends,
No posts for today so far, so here's mine. Not much to say. Got in 2 recumbent bike workouts today, the second while chatting with visitors. My family room was full so I sat on my bike, and since I was sitting there... Did a total of 88 minutes covering 10.3 miles. Made homemade baked crab cakes in muffin tins for dinner. I used 1/2 of a whole wheat sandwich thin for the 1/4 c breadcrumbs, and eggbeaters and egg whites instead of whole eggs. The recipe actually called for eggbeaters, but after spending almost 50.00 on 2 dozen steamed blue crabs and picking the meat myself, I want all the flavor I can get from a low fat, low carb recipe. Today I ate:
B: 4 strips turkey bacon, 1 egg and 1/3 c eggbeaters, 3/4 c fresh blueberries
S: 1 c cantaloupe
L: 1c Brussels sprouts mixed with 3/4 c ground turkey spaghetti sauce (sounds weird but I like it)
S: 3 strips leftover turkey bacon, 2 c SF French vanilla International coffee
D: Two 3 oz crab cakes (yummy!!!!!), 1 tbsp ****tail sauce
Have a great rest of the weekend!
B 1/2 protein smoothie, coffee with LF 1/2 & 1/2
S 1/2 protein smoothie, coffee with LF 1/2 & 1/2
L romaine & celery with buffalo chicken & blue cheese dressing
S 1/8 SF candy bar
D sirloin steak, sautéed mushroom & steak, cucumbers with sour cream
S quest bar
Sleep well and enjoy your Sunday everyone!
Totally AWESOME, your doing the 5K and besting your time! And it must be even nicer to have a spouse that participates in healthy living. Having that support can make a big difference. My husband passed away 9 yrs ago, but even if he was still here, he was not the exercise type. He was a hard worker, and preferred to lounge around on his weekends off. He was 5'11" and weighed around 150 lbs soaking wet! I do get a lot of support from my bench pressing boyfriend though.
Glad to hear your son is doing better, and hope everything continues to improve. Have a great Sunday!
BTW, the crab cakes were delish!
