Hi Tess and Botts,

Hope you are all doing well. I've been off track for a while and now I need to get back to tracking. My sister had surgery on her ankle and I've been helping her out but that's no excuse, I've got to get my eating in control. I see my surgeon next month and he's not going to be impressed I'm sure. Speedy recovery on your surgery Tess

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Another relaxing day today.  Woke up a little earlier than usual (for a Sunday) when my son called.  He's stationed in Japan, but is in San Diego for classes for 2 weeks.  Too bad I can't visit, but hopefully, he'll be home this year for Christmas.  He's been away for the last 2 Christmases :(

I made a bunch of pancakes this morning for my daughter and granddaughter's (I don't eat them), then retreated to my bedroom after she came by to pick them up (she lives right across the street).  Spent the rest of my day reading, napping and watching TV.  I did get in my bike workout this evening for 41 minutes, covering 4.3 miles.  When my back is up to par again, I should be able to do twice the distance in that amt of time.  But for now, at least I can get in some exercise.  Today I ate:

B:  protein bar, 1/2 oz natural almonds

S:  apple slices, 1 Laughing Cow cheese wedge

L:  homemade chef's salad with 2 ozs grilled chicken, 1 oz pepperjack cheese, 1 hard boiled egg and 2 tbsp lite raspberry vinaigrette

S:  protein shake made w/coffee and 1/2 c 1% milk

D:  5 1/2 oz turkey burger (no bun) with 1 tbsp ketchup, mustard, 2 tsps relish, 1 small bag kettle cooked chips (40% less fat)

I had been saving those chips almost 2 months.  I was afraid to touch them until I was well into my clean eating lifestyle, and had lost a good amount of weight.  I felt my carb intake has been very miniscule, and it was a little deviation from my norm.  BUT, I am not going to let it derail my progress.  I'm still "on track".  But I won't do the same with sugar, because I can't trust myself, and don't want to tempt fate.

Hope everyone had a pleasant day, and a good night :)
