Excuse me in advance for the length of this one: There was another post that was titled "Tired Tuesday"...OMG that was written about ME!! Last night I came home from work pretty much exhausted, both physically and mentally. I really am worried about my Moma and the apt with the vascular surgeon. So I laid down. While in part that made me feel like I was "giving in" to the depression demon that I've fought with for years it also kept me away fro the kitchen and potential stress eating. It was a coping strategy at the very least. I'm a BIG believer in the power of prayer and I'm not a worrier by nature so I prayed that God would take my mind off my problems. I can honestly say that's the third and final time in my life I'll pray that prayer because...WHAM...not a half hour after that we got a call that David's son was being sent from one ER to the ER at the children's hospital (1 1/2 hours away) So at 9:30 last night we sat out on our latest adventure in parenting with the ex-wife. Turns out she's out of town and without cell phone service. But that's a story for another mini-series of epic proportions.  Finally at 3 this morning he was admitted to the Pediatric ICU for cardiac issues. At 5 I laid down for my 2 hours night sleep. Back up at 7 to get some arrangements made for work, clothes, the DOG. Back to the hospital by 9. Kiddo was released with a clean bill of health at 2 this afternoon. YEAH!!

Well that was one appt down. Moma's appt was this afternoon with the vascular surgeon. She is in need of the carotid artery surgery. But before the doc will consider scheduling he has a whole battery of tests that he wants done (some are repeats of another doc) and she has to have cardiac clearance. We've got a terrible history of heart disease. So I guess that's good news too. It means we're still in a holding pattern of sorts but it reaffirms my faith in this particular doc because he doesn't just take the word of the referring doc. He's thorough.

So I've had lots and lots and lots of walking today. I really wish I'd thought to turn on the pedometer function that my smart phone has. It's got to have been at least 5 miles in the hospital& parking garage today alone. Vitamins are done. Lots of plain old water today too.

Breakfast:  Skim Lactaid milk & granola bar

snack:   Starbucks iced coffee ( splenda & soymilk)

Lunch:    1/2 tuna wrap from WAWA

Dinner:   Hotdog w/ small serving of potato chips.

In bed by 8 p.m. I promise!!

Good evening, BOTT friends,

Very good day today.  I got my recumbent bike workout in this evening, and felt less sluggish today.  I got in 33 mins, covering 4.5 miles.  I'm wondering if the workouts are affecting my hunger, because I seem to be a little hungrier the last couple days.  I've been trying to increase my water and using bits of lean protein here and there if needed to curb any "snack attacks".  So far, so good.

Today I ate:

B:  protein shake made with almond milk, 2 1/2 ozs rotisserie turkey breast

S:  6 ozs Light & Fit yogurt, 1/2 oz natural almonds

L:  5 ozs rotisserie turkey on sandwich thin, 1 Laughing Cow cheese wedge, 1/3 c jardiniere vegs

S:  protein bar

D:  6 ozs lean beef burger (no bun), mustard, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp pickle relish, 3/4 c steamed broccoli w/lemon and 2 tsps butter

Getting settled to watch late night TV.  Sweet dreamzzzz to all
