Back On Track Together

Trippin' Thursday!

Hello everyone!  I tripped today.  Last nite was anything but peaceful.  I woke up after 2 hrs of sound sleep with leg cramps, soooo at midnight, I hopped in the hot tub for a 30 min soak. Quick dry off and back inbetween the sheets and I was asleep fast.  I don't think the whole process of waking soaking and going back to sleep took 45 minutes!  I was that relaxed!!  Of course then at 3 AM, the phone rings! Drat!  Talk about a cardio work out!  Wasn't an emergency, only an adult niece arguing with her mother and wanted Uncle David to set her mother straight!  Needless to say, he set the niece straight but the sleep was now disturbed!!  Probably took another 45 minutes to settle down and get back to sleep!  Seemed like only 10 minutes had past and the alarm clock was going off.  I didn't even hit the snooze.....I don't know what I did.....but the next thing I knew the clock read an hour and half later!!!!  No walking for me this morning before work.

The rest of the day went down hill from there.  I have a scratchy throat, a cough, sinus pressure, head hurts so bad even when laying down.  BUT (drum roll) I stayed on track with the eats!    Banana, peaches, and vanilla yogurt smoothie and an apple for breakfast, some celery sticks for a snack, Greek cherry yogurt for lunch and a few more celery sticks for afternoon snack.  Dinner is a 3 oz broiled burger patty and a salad and my just before bedtime snack of cheese and crackers!  Still under 1300 calories!  Had I felt better - lungs are wheezy - I would have walked this evening.

As I said, I tripped, but didn't fall totally down!  Have a great evening!!

Sounds like a rough night. I don't know that I would have managed as well as you did. Glad to hear that it was the neice that got set straight. If the phone rings after I go to bed I automatically assume someone is either dead or in jail.

Hope today is better for you.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
