Friday, February 22th, Cardio & Cafe

Happy Friday Botts:

 

I have been so busy these last two days that I don't know if I am coming or going.  I will try to catch up today if possible.  My eats today are going through a drastic change.  My weight is up 4 lbs. and I do not like it.

 

Breakfast:  Coffee & Miralax

Snack:  Protein Shake

Lunch:  Protein Shake

Snack:  Protein Shake

Dinner:  Protein Bar

Snack:  Protein Bar

 

I will supplement with chicken and beef broth, propel and diet hot chocolate.  My body needs a major detox.

 

Exercise will be doing grocery shopping this evening at Wally World.  Usually get a good walking in there.

 

Have a great Friday, and great weekend for those that I won't chat with until Monday.  Remember those vits and fluids.

Sounds like you might be having a protein shake or two today?! broken heart

Have you ever tried the detox of unsweetened cranberry juice (1 cup) 2 TBSP of ground flax seed and a liter of water (minus the cup of juice)? I have a friend who swears by it. She eats normally with the addition of the detox water. Does it for a week at a time. Swears she feels better and much less bloated. She says you have to shake it up everytime you go to drink it and that you don't have to down it all at one time. Just throughout the day. I think I may try it next week.

It's YUCKY here today weather wise...which somehow fits my mood. I'm still sniffling and sneezing. Thunderstorms all evening and all day tomorrow. I may not get out of my pjs.

Commute:   Coffee Coffee Coffee w/ splenda and ff french vanilla creamer

Breakfast:     A Demonic Dunkin Donut......I swear the things can talk.

snack:          protein bar

Lunch:          Chili or a frozen Weigh****chers meal

Snack:         Fruit

Dinner:        ????? seafood of some sort. Family is in from out of town so we may go out. If I can skip it then I'm having egg drop soup.

 

Lots of water. Juice. Hot Tea. If nothing else about being sick this time I've figured out how to get extra fluids in my daily schedule.

I actually have had the cranberry juice and flax seed mixture.  I have also had Jillian Michaels detox tea made with dandelion tea.  Neither knocked my socks off.  I just have to go heavy on protein, zero on carbs and pour the fluids down to cleanse out my system.  Then I will be ready to start fresh again.  So Demonic Dunkin Donut mugged you this morning.  I had a payday bar last night that rob me of my senses.

Good Morning

Running around the last few days haven't had time to post.   Have to really watch it the next few days.  I twisted my knee and so now it is swollen some.  I am sticking to my food plan so I know it will be ok but yesterday I gained 6 pounds from am to mid afternoon.  I know that is impossible.  I took a lassix because the gain is due to fluid retention and today I am down 5 of the 6.  Even though my head knows the gain is water my inner voice says " here we go again"  Got to stop that.

I am so glad that you are aware that gain is strictly fluid only.  I know it blows your mind to see it on the scale but fluids will come and go especially when any part of your body takes an injury.  Stay off the knee and take it easy today.

Morning Tess and Botts,

Tess, sorry you're having a struggle, maybe your body is just telling you that you are good where you're at and don't need to lose anymore. They say it's normal for people to fluctuate 5 lbs either way.
Today it's cold and snow on it's way. I don't think very much but I don't want any!
Going to lunch with my sister today, probably Panera cause she's addicted to it I think!

B: scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa
S: 2 graham crackers w/ peanut butter
L: 1/2 Panera's chicken fontega sandwich
D: not sure yet

and of course at least 4 cups of coffee w/ff creamer

Thanks Edie.  My body is fluctuating back and forth to the pantry.  I don't know, but lately I can not make it through the evening without adding something or several something's to my daily schedule meal plan.  I almost want to blame it on the weather.  I always seem to need to eat more in cold weather.  I guess I am trying to generate some extra heat or layer of fat.

Good evening Botts and Tess:

You know I struggle to eat fewer calories.  I struggle with hunger (both head and physical).  Nothing works for me all the time.  Today for instance I was planning on a grapefruit snack and I decided I needed a protein snack.  I don't eat meat on Fridays in lent so I opted for some shrimp.  Finally after dinner and a ton of veggies I feel some fullness in my lower gut.  I understand the purpose of your protein drinks and I hope your cravings went away.  Still snowy and cold in Wisconsin.  I think we do eat to add a fatty layer in the cold.  Hopefully we will have an early spring this year.  Tri  

B: 1/2 cup egg beaters, 1 slice reduced fat cheese, mushrooms, spinach, green onion, green pepper and salsa 140

S: nsa raspberry pie 120

L: ff tuna salad on cucumber slices and tomato 140

S: 4 oz. shrimp, grilled mushroom, onion and pepper 140

D: fat free tuna salad;  veggie soup; cucumber and tomato salad with fat free blue cheese dressing 200

S: peanut chewy protein bar 200

940 calories

Exercise today:  I did a load of laundry and cleaned the upstairs for 3 hours.
