Wow!  For the first time ever today I have been logging in all of my food - every single thing - and I am in shock.  No wonder I've had a regain!   I thought I was BOT, but find I was nowhere near the stadium!  I feel psyched now to get things under control and feel like it gave me the kick in the butt that I obviously needed.   38 pounds to lose now.

I'm glad this group is here and I plan to visit daily.

Thank you, all!

I agree completely - tracking is invaluable and an eye opener.

I,ve been using "My Fitness Pal" - it is a dandy tool for logging what you eat.  I credit it with helping me keep on track.

Welcome to the BOTT group.  Some of us track food and exercise on Tess' posts everyday.  Even if you log your food on mfp you can still let us know how it is going once in a while.. I find that the folks here are not judgemental but will give advice when you ask for it.  I am glad you found us.  Tri

It is eye opening when you see your consumption in black and white.  When I don't keep up with my foods daily, I can easily consume at least another 500 calories.  We hope to see you here daily.  We all struggle, we all fail but we all get up and start again.   Some one made the quote that "falling off the horse is not the problem, failing to get up is".

Tracking really helped me see that my Starbucks latte habit had to change! Upwards of 500 or more calories a day and the CARBS oy! If I don't track I seem to view food as a free for all and I eat to the point of pain, not so good.  I am a big fan of my fitness pal, but I admit I still do a paper diary and just occasionally check it on line, paper seems to keep me honest.  Cheers

Thanks everyone.  Today is day one of only 1 small latte.  I was making too many for myself so today is one only for 85 cals.  Still tracking food and it helps a lot.   I'm using actual pen and paper.  It works best for me.  Now that my cals are back in acceptable range, I need to cut out carbs.

Happy Monday!
