Another issue is getting cleared... I hope my banker will recover the 40K+ that was accidentally deposited (by a new clerk) into the mortgage account instead of the LofC.  (company funds  - gulp... I could have been made responsible for the mistake...) So on that front... hope things will work out.  That was another issue I was upset about yesterday, but after sleepless night I remembered that I put "payment to LofC" on the check... so I know I was covered.  But - they still could have told me "tough luck lady"... the money went where it went,,, deal with that...

We make mistakes, bank people make mistakes. I do like working with bank people who will fix their people messes instead blaming that on me.  Losing 40K operating capital.. would really hurt us..We are small company.  
 
Called the vet and they told me to get the flowers out of the house .... and watch her for other symptoms.  One flower will not kill her... and hopefully she will not eat them again. 
That also means no more lilies for me at the house. I love lilies... My fav flowers.
This is the first time I saw her eating a flower.. Ever... I feed her... she has food everywhere (literally) in the house... But ... I have been slacking on her "greens "...
One thing at a time.  Thanks for worrying... and reaching out...

Hello to Everyone

One more day to the weekend, have a fundraiser tea to attend on Saturday & of course Sunday is "M"-day, the boys will do all the cooking that day - who knows what will be on the menu...

Breakfast  :  protein shake
Snack  :  protein coffee
Snack  :  turkey roll-ups with laughing cow spread on each slice
Lunch  :  sausage link and cheese stick
Dinner  :  ginger glazed turkey tenderloin & caesar salad
Cardio  :  long walk with DH & the dogs

 Good Morning Alesia:

My children are going to take me out for lunch and a movie for mother's day.  They are taking me to see the campy version of Dark Shadows.  I watched this in the late sixties/early seventies.  It looks like it will be funny.  A blast in the past especially the clothing.

 Hi Tess,

Have you considered upping your protein to get ready for your upcoming surgery?  The more you can get in this week the better.  Afterwards you may not be hungry for several days so try to focus on everything protein.

I'm very excited for you!

How much were you getting in the week before.  I have been trying to get in around a 100 a day.  I could easily add another shake to up it to 120-125 grams.  Do you think this would be enough?  Thanks so much for noticing.  I am getting excited.  I went and paid for my meds this afternoon and my blood thinner shots were $549.00.  I nearly split a kidney.  They first told me $1100.00 but the pharmacist did not realize that the boxes contained two shots per box so instead of 11 shots, I was paying for 22 shots.  I glad we got that taken care of.  Whew!!!.

 I would aim in the 125-200 range.  I would replace the ice cream and vita top with two shakes. Isopure 2scopps each shake would add 100 grms protein.  I got in around 125 and it was not near enough. Post op I was lucky to get in 40-50 grams a day for the first week.  Wound healing is totally dependent on your protein.  The recommendations are to up pre and post op.  I wonder how much damage I did with my inability to get much food in.  Don't worry about the scale right now.  I went into surgery at 151.5.  Took off 6 pounds of skin.  My first time on he scale at two weeks out I was 145.  After that I went to 139 for 20 seconds.  At five months out I go between 141 and 143.5 with careful eating.  You will have a metabolic boost for about 5 weeks, then one day you will wake up and know you are back  to your old self.  Once I got my appetite back at two weeks I ate a ton more food, including carbs.  The morning the party was over, I had to cut carbs again.  I do notice that I can add another 100-200 calories a day now and still maintain.  In retrospect, I wish I had tried to hang onto that 139.  Isn't hind site amazing?

Up that protein for better incision healing please.
