Back On Track Together
I just can't do it.
You can do it. You have it in you to do it.
Stop thinking about getting on track as a diet. I don't even use the word diet! I am just getting back on track.
I've been tracking my eatting and workout since January on an excel spreadsheet I created for myself and I just went back and looked at it and every month I have about 7 to 8 days where I blow my calories out from 300 to 600 additional. But the very next day I do a self correct and get back on plan. Just like over this weekend...I've been great Monday - Friday and it all went to hell in a hand basket and I've put on 3 pounds. I am I kicking myself no, I just knew when I made my lunch today I need to get back on plan.
When I started it took me 4 trys and 3 weeks just to finish the 5 day pouch test. I figured out if I don't bring the sweet stuff into my apartment like I did over the week...those so called Fat Free Twizzer and SF Chocolate Mint Cookies! Ok, I ate them and ate them all but I am back on my plan this morning and didn't need a morning snack and sitting here now with my evening snack which I am going to throw out because I am not hungry and my pouch is full.
Take a page from this season Biggest Loser...no excuses. If you want your plan to work you have to work it. Take each day as it comes, we all slip up but we get up.
Ok, now that you've kicked yourself now pull up the big girl under pants and show yourself you can do this. You have us all on this board to support you, we can only listen and share our ups and down, don't look back keep looking forward. Tomorrow is a new day and yesterday was yesterday!

Hi there:
Bryant gave you some excellent advice. If you cannot get back on track all at once, then make one change at a time. If you drink with meals, stop it. After you make the first change then go to the next change. If you are eating a lot of carbs, start counting them and keep them around 75 a day. When you have that accomplished, go on and get your protein count up to 80-100 grams a day. After you make all the little changes, you will be back on track and ready to go for a walk. You can do this, all it takes is one change at a time. By keeping a journal, you can following your successes and know where you are failing. Just because you did not write it down, does not mean it did not count. You are your own boss, no one can keep you honest but yourself. Good Luck.

I use a site called Spark People to track my food and exercise.
Its kinda nerdy, but I like that I get trophys when I stay on track. You can track your food, exercise, vitamins, water. I really like it especially since I can track on my phone and online since I cant have my phone at work. They have lots of message boards and teams you can join.
Start with just tracking what you are eating. dont try to 'be good'. Its not good or bad. Or just try with exercise like a little walk.
You can do it. The hardest part is just taking the first step. Take it one meal at a time.

Theres nothing more I would like to do than get back on track ! I need to lose about 10lbs and I don't want it to become 20-30+. I don't drink while I eat so I have that problem taken care of. I've been eating candy . I know I have to keep it out of the house. I've even sucumbed to buying a Dove candy bar at the checkout at Joann Fabric.
I started good this morning by having Fage yogurt with some splenda, almonds and a few dried cherries. It was really good but I ate too much and then I felt a little bloated. I think part of my problem is I want to feel that full feeling but I know thats not what we are suppose to do.
Tomorrow is a new day and I WILL STAY ON TRACK
