Back On Track Together
Thursday, April 5th, Cardio & Cafe
It is a beautiful day today here. Yet again. But the storms are coming and they should be here late afternoon - evening today. Temperature will drop.
Glad to hear you getting the PS. Hope you had the blood test done and that most numbers are high normal. It took me forever to recover from LBL - because my iron dropped so low even with supplementation. My Hemoglobin and RBC were fine - but nobody bother to check the ferritin - then got so low... and supplements could not bring it back. Eventually I got iron infusions, but not until a year later. So I lived with marginal feritin (10) and really had a hard time to function (very tired, depressed, low energy, RLS, etc> )
Maybe before the surgery you can still check the numbers - just in case - if you did not so far.
My eats has been off for a while, and it shows... I pulled my skinny jeans out and... could not zip them up ... not good.
So back to the program... very aggressive program... yet again. Like a normal "skinny" person... who goes on a diet when she noticed 5 lbs gain...
In a mean time - I will be wearing dresses and not so skinny jeans... and pants.
eats today:
coffee + Al Milk
1/2 flatout + PB
protein shake + greens
quest bar
meat + veggies soup/stew w flax
yogurt with proteins and cranberries...
shrimp and veggies,

Hi Hala:
I am so excited about the PS. I had all my labs checked last week and they are great! The PS looked over them and said that I was healthier than he was, and he looked pretty good. He wanted to know how I was managing to keep my Vit D up so well. I will keep y'all posted on the upcoming tests that I will need before surgery. I know you can have yourself in those skinny jeans by the end of the month. Have a great day!

Tess, how exciting!
It feels great to get the extra belly skin taken care of. I was able to get a 'medically necessary' panniculectomy a year and a half after my WLS surgery.
I have pics posted if you're interested. I loved having a flat tummy (still!) and am now looking into getting my loose skin on my back and rear end repaired (at my own cost).
Today's info for me:
Breakfast 1:
Hard boiled egg
Herbal tea
Breakfast 2:
cottage cheese w/ crushed pineapple
2 tsp Unjury unflavored protein
Snack:
OMG Almond Joy Protein bar
Lunch:
Grilled pork tenderloin w/ peppers and onions wrapped in lettuce (instead of tortilla)
Snack:
Tuna with a couple of zero carb flaxseed crackers (homemade)
Dinner:
Grilled pork tenderloin w/ peppers and onions wrapped in lettuce (instead of tortilla)
Snack:
Fage Total 0% Greek yogurt with crushed pineapple
Exercise:
Stationary bike - 15 minutes (to help strengthen ankle)
Situps - 168
Pushups - 74
Dips - 91
Squats - 192
Totals for Today:
Calories: 1011 (11 calories over today's limit)
Protein: 114g
Total Carb: 58g
Net Carb: 47g
Fat: 41g
I'm 11 calories over today's max, but my carbs are well under 70 net carbs, and my protein intake is over 90. I think I'll call it a good day.

Getting back on track 10yrs later after a REGAIN of approx 35lbs
Surgery weight: 277lbs Goal/maintenance weight: 135lbs

I think 117 was too thin. I'm happier with my appearance in the 130-140lb range. I can also maintain (or DID maintain) that range without too much stress.
As for my regain, I always gain first in my boobs, then my hips/rear/thighs, followed by the midsection.
Thankfully, my tummy tuck is still in really good shape (and I've been busting out those situps like a madwoman). I have a little pooch belly and when I eat it stands out more, but I can still suck it in and it isnt noticeable.
It definitely isnt as tight as it was originally, but then, the rest of me isnt either!
