Good Morning Botts:

It is Friday for me today.  We will be having another rainy day and the temperature is finally coming back down to around 70 degrees today.  I had my PS consult yesterday and found my Doctor.  I have two hernias that need to be repair and for safety sake, we are going to have another general surgeon in the OR to do that specific repair and the PS is going to do a Fleur de Lis Tummy Tuck, Front Tension Thigh lift and mons lift.  I am so excited.  The PS said that I have really great muscle tone and all I had left was excess skin.  Enough of that, my eats and cardio for today are:

Prebreakfast:  Coffee & Miralax
Breakfast:  Chocolate Unjury Shake
Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar
Lunch:  Pure Protein Peanut Butter Bar
Snack:  Cheese & Turkey Roll up
Dinner:  Chicken Quesadilla
Snack:  Chocolate Vitatop

Exercise:  Walking the neighborhood

Have a great day and don't forget your vits and fluids.

Morning Tess, great to hear you found your doctor.  You know that it just could be those last few pounds you just can't get rid of just needed to be removed!

I had my Tummy Tuck done 6 years ago and I wish I could have had the full circular, my insurance would not pay for full circular only waist to waist so I do have a slight muffin top, but my body shaper gets rid of it. I hope it goes away after I lose these last few pounds.

Well today it's a little cool here 45 degrees and I plan to do just a 35 minute work out at home with Wii Active Tennis...

My eatting has been off and I am not complaining.  Don't seem to need the snacks or after dinner dessert. But my plan today is:

PreBreakfast: Decaf Coffee with Med's
Breakfast:  Protein Shake
Snack: Skinny Banana Split (Maybe)
Lunch: Homemade Tuna Salad Sandwich on 100 cal Sandwich Bread
Snack: Fruit Plate (Maybe)
Dinner: Grilled Sweet Italian Sausage with Peppers & Onions and a Side Salad
Snack: Not Sure

I would love to have the last six pounds cut off.  I would have a normal BMI!!!  With having mostly skin, I will be lucky if I get three pounds removed.  I will keep my fingers crossed!

You know I just check my BMI for me to be normal I would have to drop another 35 pounds down to 159.  Yes, it was nice at that weight I could shop any store etc but I hated how my faced looked and had more comments "are you ok, you don't look so good", "have you been sick, feel better".  So, I am going back to where I was 175/180 and I will be classificed as moderately over weight.  I can live with that.

So, Tess when are you planning to have the work done?  I had wanted a breast lift but due to my current medical issues no surgerys for me for a while.

I hope at the end of April.  I have to have a general surgeon along with the PS surgeon as I have two hernias, one from a previous operation that has to be redone and a new one.  If the surgeons can coordinate, we are shooting for April 30th.  I should know more today.

Tess, plastics take a lot of energy for healing. It would be good for you to up your protein now.  After surgery I had no appetite for two weeks, then it returned. I was glad i protein loaded pre op for several weeks. I wish i had done better with it post op. For the first six weeks post op, I had a real metabolism boost. I was eating more protein and more carbs. Cheese and crackers and nuts for snacks.  I weighed daily and at six weeks saw the scale go up a bit and knew I was back to my old self.

I went into surgery at 151.5.  Dr. Sauceda removed  six pounds of skin and two litliposuction from liposuction.  He then injected the fat back into my tush.  I retuned from Mexico after two weeks and weighed 145. YAY!  Over the next weeks I went down to 140.  Now I maintain between 140.6 and 141.6.  If the scale hits 143 I cut  back for a day or two. It's always sodium related.

Prior to plastics I maintained around 149-150 on about 1100 calories a day.  Now I seem to be able to eat around 1300-1400 healthy calories a day.

I was size 10 jeans pre op, now 6 or 8 depending on brand.

I thought that my journey might help you in thinking about your own.

Thank you so much Lee.  Do you know what you got you protein grams up to?  Yesterday my count actually was 135 grams but normally I stay between 90-110 grams a day.  Anything that you can think of that would make this journey easy for me, I definitely would appreciate the information.  Thanks again.

Good Morning Botts!

TESS!! So excited for you!! YAY!! Im thinking I'll need the fleur de lis as well, since my rolls are above and below my 'belly button'. LOL like I have a belly button anyone can see!

Had a bad eating day yesterday. I was so disapointed in myself. Between the stress at work, working over the weekend, working out, my feet hurting....Ive been feeling like crap and been off my plan for a couple days. That bagel yesterday set me up for total failure. BUT, I realized last night what was happening...TOM showed up. I pay good money for him to leave me alone so this was a total surprise but at least I know what the hell my body is doing.

Back on track today. Need to keep my energy up as I have a training session tonight.

Eats for today:

Coffee w/ cream
Pure Protein bar and banana
Orange and string cheese
Greek yogurt w/ PB2 and Galaxy Granola
Slice Arnold double protein with natural pb on the way to the gym
Not sure about dinner

Awaiting my Quest bar shipment...they are usually here by now. According to tracking, they arent even close :(

Sorry about your quest bars, mine came in Monday.  Last month, my TOM caught me unaware also.  She has the sorry idea of showing up 4 days earlier..Ugh!  At least you know what the extra need for food was, now you can tackle it head on.
