Back On Track Together
my first post here....
Hi Everyone!
My surgery was Oct 2009. I was 369 lbs. and in size 4X and 34 dresses...since surgery, my lowest weight fluctuated from 153-157 and, depending on the manufacturer, usually wear a 10/12 size. ( No single digets for me. But I digress....)
I seemed to be invincible. No matter what I ate I still kept losing. Then first came the fritos scoops. Just couldn't get enough sometimes...still didn't gain. After a while, though, things started catching up with me as I branched out to other carbs and larger servings. Now I weigh 167 and I'm sort of freaking out.
I've had some negative work experiences and my emotions have been screaming EAT!
Well, I'm doing better (least today, LOL) and I 'm on the bumpy road to return to 155 or 157.
I've armed myself with protein bars, protein drinks/shakes, crunchy veggies, etc. I need some support so I hope you don't mind if I check in everyday to let you know about my progress.
I really enjoy hearing all about you all. I never went to a support group after surgery (too far for me) so I lurked out on this board and it really got me through.
This is not going to be easy for me but I'll NEVER let myself get fat again. I was so dreadfully ill (had to lose for health reasons) and miserable for many years but... never again! I was in too much mental and physical pain to ever go back. Thank you for this discussion board. I really need you!
