I need help

Hi everyone!

I am so happy to have this group.  I have a 6 and 1/2 month old baby boy and had RNY Jan. 15, 2007.  The lowest I ever got was 158 and I was a size 6.  Happy days, thought they would be forever!  I rebounded to 178 around Dec. 2010, then got pregnant.  Day I delivered I was 221, now 203.  I even exclusively breastfed for 3.5 months.  I need help.  Big help.

I have got to get back into my smaller clothes, it isn't financially feasible to buy a whole new wardrobe :(  The Larges I bought this fall and winter, well it is summer now, and I can't wear the dark stuff here in FL.

My pouch is "slightly stretched but not enough for a revision" when I had that test where you drink dye.  The surgeon said if I got back to basics, I would lose again.

I was looking into the Daniel Fast, since I think I could get the husband on board.  But please advise me of the quickest way to lose this weight.  If I get the protein to like 100, 125 grams a day should I lose?  My hair is super thin and I have had low protein levels before :(  I am also anemic and hypothyroid.  Please help!!  Also, I am a 30 year old female

Well their are quick ways to do it but I believe most of us here are taking it off smartly so you just don't regain again.  We're all are back to basic, I can only speak for myself but I am only 18 to 20 pounds to my goal and I am ok with a 5 to a 6 pound lost per month.  I work out 6 days a week for around 35 to 55 minutes.  On the weekend is when I put in more time to my workout.  And my proteins are round 100 to 135 per day and calories around 1200.  But, I have to say I've do have a few days a month I fall off and cheat (eatting the wrong thing).

If you're looking for a magic bullet I hope you find it but I can't give you one.

I can't give you a fast fix but if you go back to basics like a newbie you can get results.  Cut your calories to between 800-1000 and up your protein to 80-100 and keep your carbs around 75 net grams you can get the weight off the safest and quickest way I know.  Avoid the white refine carbs such as bread, pasta, sugar, flour, sweets, etc.  Exercise daily like walking, journal your food intake, get your fluids in and don't forget your vitamins.  They really help.  Come here daily to lurk or post but stay involve daily.  Glad to have you here.  You can get most of that weight off by Summer if you put your mind to it.  If you stumble, start again.  Everyday is a brand new day.  Best of luck to you.

Thank you ladies, both, for your help!  I have been walking a lot, strolling my baby twice a day.  I will take your advice on the cals and protein.  I just need to look at the protein as medicine, I did that when  I first had the surgery.  I really want my hair to grow back in.

Tess, I too am a MS girl!  I was raised in Madison, near Jackson but have lived in FL for 2 years.  I have been reading the things you eat and it looks like those Quest bars are good things!  Can you only purchase them online?

Thank you again!

Another poster put online that the Vitamin Shoppe are carrying the Quest Bars now.  So far, I have only ordered my online from Quest and from Netrition.  Both are the same price.

I have several friends who live in Madison now.  My daughter graduated from USM in Hattiesburg so Madison became a monthly trip.  I am from Senatobia.  We live about 30 minutes from Memphis, Tn.

I just had our local GNC owner order a box for me.  Otherwise, I purchase on line.
