I have a another hernia as well--an umbilical one this time that popped under the mesh when I was pregnant with my son four years ago.  Last fall, I saw both my surgeon *****paired my last  hernia and he suggested a PS consult, which I did.  Surgeon and PS said it was an ideal time to repair the hernia and then insurance would cover the overnight stay. They just told me to head right to the ER if I had any pain.  My plan to to save money, get back to my goal weight, and have another consult late this fall and go for both surgeries late 2012 or early 2013.
