Good Morning Botts:

I am back from Nashville.  I am sore, grumpy and tired but my daughter belongings are back in Mississippi.  Eat wise, I fought with a piece of grill chicken from KFC and it won on Thursday night.  I threw up so much that popped a seam in my mesh covering my hernia and it started protruding again.  Got up on Saturday morning and went to Target to get a binder to hold it in so that I could finish packing up.  I was not much good on lifting items though.  On Saturday night, our children took us out to eat at Bucca Di Beppo, it was wonderful.  I ate a chicken canneonli that went down great only to find out later that it had 62 carbs. WOW!  It was good....Spent yesterday loading the van, two trucks and a 20' trailer with all my daughter's worldly possessions.  We left Nashville around 11:30 AM and got to Hernando about 3:00 PM.  We just unload the items in the garage and will be back next week end when she gets here to place furniture.  I ate a lot of protein yesterday so I am not weighing for the next few days until my body settles back down, and did I mention that my TOM came five days early too.  I am just going to start fresh today.  My eats and cardio for today are:

Prebreakfast:  Coffee & Miralax
Breakfast:  Chocolate Unjury Protein Shake
Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar
Lunch:  Pure Protein Peanut Butter Bar
Snack:  Cheese & Crackers
Dinner:  Roast Beef & Green Beans
Snack:  NSA ice cream sandwich

I will not be doing any extra cardio today as I am going to let my body have a day of rest.  I hope everybody else has a great day and please remember your vits and fluids.  I remembered mine. By the way, it is going to be 83 degrees today in Mississippi-Summer anyone?

Good morning.  Glad you are back Tess. Sorry your hernia got ripped. Will you need a surgery or do you think this will heal by itself?
And tired and grumpy I get it.

On Sunday there was a party in my house. My BF's father 70th birthday.  There was a lot of cooking, and a lot of food.  Some i cooked, some my BF (great RNY friendly jambalaya - yum) and other people brought the rest.  I baked brownies and there was BD cake and cookies... plus my friend brought some banana bread.  I ate a lot of meat, some jambalaya, and did not touch any cakes or carbs.   As the people were leaving - we gave away most "bad foods" and left only some for my BF to eat.  I packed that and send it with him.   I am telling all this story - because all day I had no problem with resisting the carby foods... but I had the hardest time resiting trying to lick my fingers when I was packing the food fro my BF...you know the crumbs that get stuck to the fingers while you putting the cake and the brownies, into the container.  On one side my head was telling me that I can't possibly get sick from the "finger licking" ... while it was also clear to me that if I do - it may result in wanting more, and feel deprived that I can't have it.  Eventually I got a wet napkin - so I would not have to run constantly to the sink to rinse my fingers.  So bizarre.
I drank some wine... I know I shouldn't... but what's done is done.. back to "normal programing"

eats today:
coffee + coconut milk
nuts + orange
Protein shake w greens (need some minerals)
pork roast + salad
jambalaya...
pork with mushroom sauce...
LNS: not sure...

I definitely understand the licking of the fingers.  I avoided a box of Krispy Kreme donuts all weekend only to cave in on a ice cream cone late Sunday afternoon.  Oh well, what is done is done!  I will more than likely have to have surgery to repair hernia but for right now, I will wear my stretch binders like before until I can get it fixed.  I was so freaked out on Thursday when it happened that I shoved it back in and made myself more violently ill.  I even went to Kroger and threw up in their parking lot.  Oh well, I feel better right now so I am moving on forward.  I got a dentist appointment this afternoon so I am so looking forward to that (NOT).  Good to be back home though.

Hi everyone! Im a little late today. Had my yearly well woman...Joy.

Sent my nut a long email on Friday sharing my disgust and my fear of coming in. She is going to send me a slip to have my blood work done and Im waiting for her assistant to call me for an appt. She said in the meantime to up my protein. Will do.

I bought a new scale as well. Measures body fat and water. Unfortunately, I cant get it to work for some reason. I have to play with it some more. Good news...that 5 pounds is gone now. I new it wasnt real, but it really messed with my head.

Eats for today:

Banana and Pure Protein bar
Coffee w/ cream
Cheese, grapes and whole grain crackers
Quest Bar
Clementine and string cheese
Grilled Chicken and Asparagus
Greek yogurt w/ PB2

Bootcamp tonight. I know I'll survive...damn its hard, BUT I'LL FINISH!

Great news about the five pounds and you will love the new scale.  I got one and made sure that it synced up with my doctor's office scale.  What ever I weigh at home, it is the same at the doctors.  No surprises here!

Hello to All,

Failed to check in yet another weekend , eating was sporadic and the scale tells the tale...Was looking at some photos from about 18 months post-op over the weekend, it was when I was at my LOW- Lowest, body had not resettled, no fat sneaked back into the little reserve pockets all around my body, nice cheekbones, you could see all the bones on my upper chest & collar bones, I could go on & on...The point of the little monolog is that it really brought home how different my body looks with 15-18 extra lbs on it, I've really been deluding myself thinking that because all my clothes still fit nice that the number on the scale is just a number...It was a real kick in the butt, woke me up to really pushing it back to "the beginning" of super low carb, super low sugar, a mostly low fat...I'm going to keep one of those pics in front of my eyes daily - for effect - maybe it will help motivate me...

 Alesia:

I did notice this time when I relost my regain that I was reshaped a little differently.  I have a smaller waist and thighs but my calves to me seem a little fuller along with my arms.  My neck still looks poor but I don't have the hollowed out eyes and cheeks this time.  I actually like the way that I look better this time this last.  Maybe gaining some weight and having the opportunity to lose it again is a good thing to do to reshape sometimes.  Just rambling.  Have a great day.

Thank you.  I am secure in my binding and I have a plastics consult coming up April the 2nd and the surgeon, I am told, can address my hernia issue too.  I am going to see what he saids about it.
