Back On Track Together

Hello all...
I started the journey at a relatively "low" weight of 236, at 5'6. I went all the way down to 126, then bumped up a bit to the 130's. (Which was good, as I looked like a concentration camp victim). I always ate really well--low carbs, high protein, lots of exercise. I even had a baby, and went right back down. Well this past winter, I started eating like I had never had a surgery--Christmas cookies, all the nasty stuff...In years past, I made my own LC stuffing, cookies, etc. My excuse has been that it's been so hard with a 2 yo, an 11yo, and a 16yo, plus work, etc...But needless to say I suppose, I gained about 10 lbs this winter. I got up to 148. And while I looked "fine", I knew what was happening...I started low-carbing, though no****ching calories. I have lost 7 lbs in the past 2 weeks, and hope to continue. Good to be here : )

Christine,

Welcome.  I am one of those who lurked the board for a year before I started posting to it.  Come July it would be 12 years seen I have the RNY my highest weight before surgery was more than 309 pounds.  After a year I dropped to my lowest of 155 pound...I hated the way I look.  But once I bounded up to 175/180 and maintain for years I felt great.  I regained over the past year to 224 as of October of 2011 and I am now  down to 198 and I am starting to feel like my old self.

I got bored and comfortable and when I get bored I bake and it got out of control.  I know what I've been doing wrong and I am getting back on track.

Again Welcome!

I guess that I was so self absorbed yesterday that I didn't see your post. Sorry. We will tackle this. I'm glad that I'm here and that you are too.
